This guy lives not too far from me, actually a coworker of mine is friends with him. He was shocked to hear about this.

Sunshine Band Member Arrested In Newark Thursday, March 25, 2010 6:28 AM NEWARK, Ohio — A man who helped launch KC and the Sunshine Band to stardom faces charges after authorities in Licking County said he admitted to having sex with teenage boys. Police arrested Richard Finch on Wednesday after a 17-year-old boy came forward with allegations that he had sexual contact with him at his home, 10TV's Brittany Westbrook reported. According to police, Finch, 56, was brought in for questioning about the allegations and admitted to having sexual contact with the 17-year-old, along with other boys, ages 13-17, Westbrook reported. The Newark Advocate reported that Finch has resided in Newark for four years and mentors children in music. 10TV's requests for an interview with Finch on Wednesday were not answered. He remained at the Licking County jail after bond was set at $250,000, Westbrook reported. Detectives said they were conducting more interviews and more charges were possible. Finch, a seven-time Grammy winner, co-writer and producer of the band's chart-topping hits, moved to Newark a few years ago, neighbors said. My brother got into a car accident today. Luckily he is okay but everyone is still shook up from it. It wasn't his fault and the other guy keeps changing his story because he is pissed that he got arrested for having a warrent out on him.

I am sorry to hear that. I was surprised at his reaction today.
