I don't have one, but my daughter's boyfriend does, if I ever need to borrow it, I can. If I get caught, I think my ticket would be pretty substantial, lol. Like Sammy Hagar sings, I can't drive 55. :003: And for you slow ass drivers, PLEASE stay in the right hand lane and out of MY way! HAHA!

A family friend of Kate McCann said Mrs McCann has been told she will be named an official “arguido” when she returns to the police station for further questioning later today. After Mrs McCann was questioned for over 11 hours yesterday, the McCann’s lawyer Carlos Pinto de Abreu, insisted she was interviewed only as a witness. Portuguese laws severely restrict what those privy to an investigation may say publicly, but Mrs McCann is said to be “amazed and concerned” by the news that her status has changed. Previously Kate McCann and her husband Gerry had always met police together and officials described the meetings as informal. Both have denied any involvement in their daughter's disappearance. But yesterday Mrs McCann was interviewed alone and Mr McCann is expected to be interviewed separately at around 2pm today. Leaving the police station in Portimao, a town in the Algarve, at around 1am local time, Mrs McCann looked gaunt and tired and did not speak to the media. Mrs McCann was asked to go to the police station after authorities received forensic evidence recovered from the holiday apartment in the Algarve where Madeleine vanished on May 3. Portuguese detectives are said to have a series of 22 questions which they felt unable to put to Mrs McCann before she was declared an official suspect. The move is not thought to signal that police are any closer to making any arrest or bringing charges. Under Portuguese law, an arguido has certain legal protection that is not extended to a witness, including the right to remain silent during questioning and the right to legal representation. It is not uncommon for people caught up in criminal investigations in Portugal to declare themselves arguidos in order to receive this protection. The family spokesman said: “Just before the session ended last night, they made it clear they had some further questions to ask which would require her to be in arguido status rather than just witness status.” He could not confirm what these questions were, or whether Mr McCann will also be made an arguido when he reports to the police station later. The spokesman said: “She is shocked and surprised in several ways. First of all that such an accusation could be made against her. “And obviously she is concerned that such a line of investigation can become a distraction from further attempts to find Madeleine.” Police spokesman Olegario de Sousa said yesterday his team had been satisfied with the results of the forensic evidence returned by the Forensic Science Service in Birmingham. “I can confirm that we have received part of the results and the team is satisfied (with the results),” Mr de Sousa said. Local newspapers have reported that the results included a sample of a speck of blood found on the wall of the McCann’s apartment. A Briton living in Praia da Luz had previously been identified by police as the only suspect in the investigation and his house has been searched twice. Madeleine’s parents have campaigned relentlessly to draw attention to the case and a fund they started to help find missing or abducted children has raised more than £1 million. They have visited several countries where she could have been taken by an abductor and met with foreign officials. They recently indicated they may soon return to Britain. Their efforts led to a meeting with Pope Benedict in Rome who blessed a picture of Madeleine a few weeks after the disappearance. British business tycoons and celebrities ranging from “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling to soccer stars have contributed to reward for her return.

Elton John adds shows ahead of 'Red Piano' run
Refugee posted a topic in Anything That's Rock N Roll
In addition to his Las Vegas concert series and tour dates all over the world, Elton John has recently added a few gigs in the Mountain West and Midwest. Following his current European tour, the Rocket Man will visit Montana for two September shows and hit Missouri next month for a couple more. Then it's off to Vegas, where John will continue his Red Piano concert extravaganza through Nov. 5. Dates are listed below. After his US run, the superstar will make his way through Japan, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa through mid-January. Details about those shows can be found at John's website. The Grammy-winning singer has much to celebrate this year--his fourth decade on the road, his 60th birthday and his record 60th show at New York City's Madison Square Garden. John marked those accomplishments in March with the release of "Rock Man - Number Ones," an 18-song set of hits covering the first 35 years of his career. The BBC's Radio 2 recently honored John with a three-hour special entitled "The Continuing Adventures of Captain Fantastic-Elton at 60," which features music and interviews. The full audio broadcast is being made available at John's website, spread out in 12 segments in the coming weeks. The first four are currently streaming. John and his longtime collaborator, Bernie Taupin, offered their latest set of new material last year with "The Captain & The Kid," which is billed as a sequel to 1975's "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy." Sting, Elton John and Bono have paid tribute to Italian opera legend Luciano Pavarotti, who died on Thursday at the age of 71. The tenor passed away at his home in Modena, Italy, after battling pancreatic cancer since last year. Sting says, "We lost a great friend, a great voice and the world is a smaller place without the big man." Elton says, "It is a sad day for music and a sad day for the world." U2 frontman Bono adds, "Some can sing opera, Luciano Pavarotti was an opera. He lived the songs, his opera was a great mash of joy and sadness; surreal and earthy at the same time; a great volcano of a man who sang fire but spilled over with a love of life in all its complexity, a great and generous friend. "Great, great fun, 'The Pavlova' we used to call him. I spoke to him last week - the voice that was louder than any rock band was a whisper.

Have you ever owned a radar detector for your car? Did you find it to be reliable? And, if you were to be pulled over for speeding, how much over the speed limit can we expect you to be going?

Nel, I couldn't agree more. I like Whoopi, huge fan of hers, but as for making excuses for Michael Vick or defending what he did, nope, sorry, wrong corner Whoopi.

HAHAHA! Well...with the same setlist for how many years now??? Can you blame him?

Cops believe the amateur bomber who detonated a homemade explosive outside former "Sopranos" star Michael Imperioli's Chelsea theater in New York City was sending "a message" to the actor or his family, sources told the New York Post. Detectives continued to pore over surveillance tapes in search of clues to the identity of the mystery assailant who ignited a 2-by-4 inch pipe bomb — packed with black powder — outside Imperioli's Studio Dante early Tuesday morning. They were also culling records of actors or writers who may have recently been turned away by the theater company run by Imperioli, who played mob boss Tony Soprano's homicidal nephew, Christopher Moltisanti, on the hit HBO series. Imperioli and wife Victoria were shocked when they were awakened by NYPD cops with news of the 1 a.m. blast that sent the rudimentary device hurtling through the windshield of a van parked outside the building. "It sends a message," a law-enforcement source said. The NYPD believes the bomber has little knowledge of explosives and could have learned how to fashion the pipe bomb off the Internet. Sources said the motive could have nothing to do with Studio Dante — and could stem from a personal slight that Imperioli is not even aware of — or be the work of a troubled "Sopranos" fan.

Adding to an already robust slate of Bob Dylan-related releases this fall, Columbia/Legacy will on Oct. 30 release the DVD "The Other Side of the Mirror -- Bob Dylan Live at the Newport Folk Festival 1963-1965," Billboard.com has learned. Directed by Murray Lerner, the film sports 80 minutes of performances, approximately 70% of which have never been released in any form. Dylan's July 1965 performance at the Rhode Island festival has gone down in history as the moment when he "went electric," startling the crowd and prompting a negative reaction from fans accustomed to the acoustic music of the artist's early recordings. The film includes Dylan's rehearsal with his electric band Mike Bloomfield (guitar), Sam Lay (drums), Jerome Arnold (bass), Al Kooper (organ) and Barry Goldberg (piano), plus two of the three songs they performed during their set ("Maggie's Farm" and "Like a Rolling Stone"; "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, it Takes a Train to Cry" is omitted). Dylan then returned to the stage for solo versions of "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue." Lerner eschewed narration and interviews with other artists (including Dylan himself) for "Mirror," which will also air on PBS after Thanksgiving. "[There's] nothing except the experience of seeing him," he says. "That to me is exciting. Just the clear experience gives you everything you need." Dylan is the subject of a three-disc eponymous retrospective due Oct. 2, and his music, as interpreted by artists such as Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and Willie Nelson, is the centerpiece of the soundtrack for "I'm Not There," in stores Oct. 30. That film, which features six different actors playing Dylan at various eras of his life, arrives Nov. 21 in U.S. theaters. Dylan will also tour this fall with support from Elvis Costello, who will be playing his first solo sets in more than a decade. Finally, the artist will on Sept. 19 premiere the second season of his XM Satellite Radio show, "Theme Time Radio Hour," with a show focused on the word "hello." Season two guests will include Luke Wilson, Amy Sedaris, Jack White, John Cusack, Richard Lewis and Ellen Barkin. Here is the track list for "The Other Side of the Mirror: "All I Really Want To Do" (7/24/1965 - afternoon workshop) 1963: "North Country Blues" (7/26 afternoon workshop) "With God on Our Side" (with Joan Baez - 7/26 afternoon workshop and 7/28 night performance) "Talkin' World War III Blues" (7/26 night performance) "Who Killed Davey Moore?" (7/27 afternoon workshop) "Only a Pawn in Their Game" (7/26 night performance) "Blowin' in the Wind" (with the Freedom Singers, Joan Baez and Peter, Paul and Mary - 7/26 night performance) 1964: "Mr. Tambourine Man" (7/24 afternoon workshop) Johnny Cash sings "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" (night performance) Joan Baez sings "Mary Hamilton" as Bob Dylan (7/24 night performance) "It Ain't Me, Babe" (with Joan Baez - 7/24 night performance) Joan Baez interview "With God on Our Side" (with Joan Baez - 7/26 night performance) "Chimes of Freedom" (7/26 night performance) 1965 "If You Gotta Go, Go Now" (7/24 afternoon workshop) "Love Minus Zero/No Limit" (7/24 afternoon workshop) Daytime rehearsal with Dylan's electric band "Maggie's Farm" (with electric band - 7/25 night performance) "Like a Rolling Stone" (with electric band - 7/25 night performance) "Mr. Tambourine Man" (7/25 night performance) "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" (7/25 night performance)

U2 rocker The Edge is devastated by the impending demolition of the Dublin, Ireland studio in which the band recorded their last album, because the building "felt like home." The studio in Hanover Quay - where the group recorded 2004's 'How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb' - is due to be knocked down later this year, much to the guitarist's disappointment. He says, "It's getting demolished as part of a redevelopment of the docklands. It is going to be turned into a tower block and we will make the penthouse into a studio. "It's very sad, that place felt like home. I don't know what it will be like recording in the new studio, we are so used to the other place."
