  5. What sound does my cat make when he is happy? Cord
  6. I don't own an iPod. How many times have you locked yourself out of your house?
  7. 1. How did you feel yesterday? - Tired. Been a long two weeks. But, also relieved I did not have to work yesterday. 2. What kind of obstacles do you face this upcoming week? - All obstacles are related to work. These next two weeks will be brutal. 3. In your opinion, what is a good friend? - One who accepts you for who you are. Does not take advantage of the friendship. There is give and take, yes and no's, and happy and sad times. One thing my mom always taught me, if you two always agree, something is wrong, there must be disagreement now and then. 4. What is your fondest memory of a childhood friendship? - I am lucky to say, I have LOTS of fond memories of childhood friends and friendships. One person does stick out from the rest, Maria. I still smile when I think of her. Wish as we grew older we kept better in touch. 5. Does time always kill pain? - It depends on the type of pain. Broken heart from an old boyfriend, yeah, time makes you forget, but the death of a loved one, no, it doesn't. I might not cry as much, but the pain is still there.
  8. I can't stand JJB. It has to be skipped. Hurts my ears to hear that song. I LOVE Running Man's Bible
  9. It doesn't matter to me. But, my husband likes the left, when you are facing the bed, and I have the right.
  10. Queen guitarist Brian May has confirmed that the long-awaited biopic of singer Freddie Mercury will be shot this year, starring Sacha Baron Cohen. And it’s just one part of an action-filled year for the band. May says: “Work is fully underway. Peter Morgan has delivered a first draft of the movie, which everyone is very excited about, and Sacha is chomping at the bit to get into the role in a way which would delight Freddie. “The whole team is preparing a shoot for later this year and a release in the autumn of 2012. Roger Taylor and I keep an ever-open door for ideas for Queen, a band which somehow refuses to lie down.” This year marks the 20th anniversary of Mercury’s death and the 40th anniversary of the band’s formation. Other projects include a movie version of their musical We Will Rock You, a gallery exhibition of early memorabilia to be called Stormtroopers in Stilletoes, and a set of remastered albums. May explains: “I know our fans will appreciate the attention to detail in bringing the early albums closer than ever to the magic of the vinyl originals, but with the benefit of up-to-the-minute technology.” Taylor adds: “Wow – 40 years of Queen. Who’d have thought it? I can’t believe it’s been that long and we’re still around in such a big way. I’m amazed and grateful.” Meanwhile, a book of memories about Mercury is also set for publication later this year. Bohemian Rhapsodies is authorised by the band and written by Robyn Dunford, who presents anecdotes and commentary from band members, friends, family and lifelong fans. Publisher Rock N Roll Books have stated that some of the money made from sales will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust. (Source)
  11. An Arizona family is praising a Southwest Airlines pilot who held a Tucson-bound plane in Los Angeles for 12 minutes to wait for a passenger trying to get to a hospital to say his goodbyes to his 2½ -year-old grandson, who was about to be taken off life support. The child, Caden Rodgers of Aurora, Colorado, was in a Denver hospital, the victim of of child abuse at the hands of his mother's boyfriend, Theodore Madrid, 30, who has since been charged with first-degree murder. The Southwest pilot's efforts to help Caden's grandfather, Mark Dickinson, of Palominas, Arizona, to get to the child's bedside on Jan. 5 first came to light when his wife, Nancy Dickinson, wrote of the incident to travel blogger Christopher Elliot. In an interview with AOL Travel News, Nancy says, "He got to say his goodbyes thanks to Southwest. I am so grateful for the airline for doing what they did." She says her stepdaughter, Ashley Rodgers, 26, needed her dad. And if Dickinson had missed the plane it would have been a tragedy on top of a tragedy. "It was heartbreaking," Dickinson says. Mark, an engineer with Northrop Grumman, had been on a business trip in Los Angeles when he got word his grandson was to be removed from life support that night. He already had a flight booked back to Tuscon and booked a connecting flight to Denver. He arrived at LAX two hours early, but had to check in his suitcase, which took an hour, and then encountered a security line that was "out the door and down the sidewalk," Nancy says. She says he advised Southwest and TSA workers of his urgent need to make the Tuscon flight and why, but could not convince them to help. "God bless TSA. They are really there for us," Nancy says. Mark, on the verge of tears, ended up just grabbing his computer, belt and shoes as they came through security screening and running shoeless to the plane, knowing the minutes were ticking by. At the gate, the pilot of the Southwest plane and ticketing agent were both waiting for him. "Are you Mark? We held the plane for you and we're so sorry about the loss of your grandson," they said. Nancy says she and Mark are not sure when or how Southwest got the word, but she is grateful they did. The plane was originally supposed to take off at 11:50; Mark arrived at 12:02 p.m. "It was the pilot's call to make. We are grateful that he felt comfortable in making that call," Nancy says. Mark was able to get to Denver to say goodbye to his grandson and be with his daughter. Caden was buried yesterday. The toddler's organs have been donated to several people in need of tranplants. Southwest Airlines spokeswoman Marilee McInnis tells AOL Travel News the carrier is proud of the pilot's actions. "We fully support what our captain did," McInnis says. "Customer service is important and we're not at all surprised an action like this would take place.
  12. Inez Harries of Sylmar, left, and her twin sister, Venice Shaw of Newbury… (Mariah Tauger / Los Angeles Times) For nearly a century, the two look-alikes have been confusing people. "Teachers told Mother to put different color hair ribbons on us so they could tell us apart," Inez Harries said. "We'd switch them on the way to school," said her sister, Venice Shaw. On Sunday, there are likely to be more double-takes when some 150 friends and family members gather in San Fernando to celebrate the identical twins' 100th birthday. "I don't feel a century old," Harries said. "I probably don't feel any older than in my 80s." Shaw nodded in agreement. "We both eat good food," she explained. Born Jan. 15, 1911, in Pasadena to citrus ranch manager William Hesser and his wife, Anna, the twins were reared in San Fernando and later in what is now Granada Hills. The family also lived in Whittier for a time. Harries is now a Sylmar resident and Shaw lives in Newbury Park. Inseparable as young children, the twins dressed alike, double-dated as teenagers and worked at the same Sunkist packing house as young adults. Later, after both were married, the two couples vacationed together on camping trips to such places as Yosemite and Kings Canyon national parks. Family photos show them dressed in identical baby clothes and in matching dresses, sewn by their mother, in elementary school and high school — their San Fernando High School senior portrait from 1929 shows them wearing identical pink polka-dot outfits. In grade school, the pair had the same friends — at the same time. They would pick one girl and Inez would be on one side of her and Venice on the other, they recall. "Other kids called us 'Twinny' rather than make a mistake calling us the wrong name, " Harries said. Even their mother sometimes had difficulty telling the two apart. Shaw recalls one time their mother decided to spank her for sitting in a swing she wasn't supposed to sit on. When her mother left to get a switch to use for the swat, Shaw ran off and her sister came up, sat on the swing and ended up getting the spanking. They still share similar tastes. Both say Carol Burnett is their favorite entertainer, "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" are their favorite TV shows and the Bible is their favorite book. They have gone to the same doctor for 20 years, cruised together to Alaska, and traveled together on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers aboard the Mississippi Queen. Both were members of the San Fernando Friendship Club from the mid-1940s until it disbanded about five years ago.
