I don't know if you have seen that older gentleman, Larry Platt, that performed his original song, "Pants On The Ground" on American Idol but I loved it. And now Jimmy Fallon has come out with his take on it as Neil Young. Priceless... p2WfUzNYPwo

ROCKPILE ! It would be awesome if Tom convinced Nick to hook up with Dave Edmunds, Billy Bremner, and Terry Williams to reform ROCKPILE as the opening act for the next Heartbreakers tour!! Man... the thought of Mike slipping out for a jam with Billy Bremner and Dave Edmunds is mouthwatering. Tpg-oQl2fzA&feature=related

Team CONAN!!!! Leno sucks and he is an ASS. NBC are chumps. However I still prefer Craig Ferguson and David Letterman above all... but thanks to TiVo I get to see them all! -

I love Dave's stories. Here is an idea... sit Dave and Tom down with some coffee, cigarettes, and a record player and roll tape. -
"Tom Petty Looks Back" ~ New Interview in Rolling Stone
normandi replied to normandi's topic in Great Wide Open
I really love Tom's admiration for Ray Davies. I have long held that Ray is absolutely the best front-man of a band that I have ever seen. His analysis of the differences between Ray and Mick highlight his dedication to getting it right. -
Happy Thanksgiving to ALL the Farmers, fellow TPaTH fans, Tom, Mike, Benmont, Ron, Scott, and Steve and of course everyones families and friends!!! May you all be surrounded by loved ones and peace! ~ Michael

They wanted to be sure that SingsInFrench would buy a hard-copy! :003: -
It doesn't appear to be available on-line yet but I just finished reading it. I wish it was a longer interview but they talked briefly about the new Heartbreakers record with titles such as: "Jefferson Jericho Blues" and "First Flash of Freedom". Tom also discusses a feisty Benmont, which is priceless. I love Benmont and the way he will not settle. Hopefully it will be on-line soon for all to read.

I saw it and I agree... that was a great speech. I enjoyed the movie as it was a lot of fun. The soundtrack was great and really loved how front and center the Kinks were in the music.
