  1. I am more than ready for a Mudcrutch tour!! :045:
  2. I went to Zambia 2001. It is a VERY beautiful country. I'll never forget that trip. In the 70ies I read a book about a small island on the East coast of Sweden, a book said to be a true story. I had to go and went, and everything described in the book was there and the history was true. It is now a National Park and you need permission to go, The story was about how pirates made fires on the shores , stormy nights so the ships would go under and the merchandise they brought would be washed up on the shore. Survivors were killed.

  6. 1. How often do you listen to music? Every day. 2. Do you ever listen to the radio? What is your favorite station? Only in my car if I don't have anyCD's with me. I love Mark&Brian 99.1 The FOX. in the mornings. 3. How do you find new songs, albums, or artists to listen to? Recommendations, radio, friends, my kids. 4. When was the last time you bought a CD? A digital music file? I bought a CD just the other day. And when I am in LA and go to Virgin Megastore I always come out with a new buy. 5. Do you think any of the technologies and distribution methods mentioned above will still be around in ten years? Why or why not? I do, but they will be refined. digital is here to stay . __________________
  7. Times are different now compared to the 80ies when my kids were born. I would have LOVED to kick them out to walk home when they went too far, but I never dared or had to. The mere threat to do it kept them in one piece until we came home and once there they lost their priveleges for the rest of that day. Back in the 50ies ( yes I am that old) it was a piece of cake to walk as far as you wanted. When I was 5 I took the bus alnoe to my granma's house and walked several blocks to get to her. We didn't have all those idiots out there as we do now, at least not in the same numbers, so I think this woman did very, very wrong and she did put her girls in a dangerous situation. However to arrest her was also to go too far in my opinion.
  8. My 80ies passed in a blur.... but I remember the 60ies and 70ies well
  9. For me it is failures. The shook me up every time and woke me up a lot more than my few successes. I learned a lot more from them. Failure lingers, Successes are wonderful but I forget them after a while because I (probably) failed again.. Sense??
  10. Happy Earth Day (again? Wasn't it just some time back?)
  11. It's a tie between Islam and Scientology, but I believe Scientology was created for manipulism and money so I don't see it as much as a religion. Islam - I don't get the part about revenge and honor.
  12. I witnessed a situation in LA recently. A mother and her three daughtres were on their way down the escalator. Before entering the one I was standing at the oldest daughter kicked her younger siste with her knee in the groin. The mother did nothing. The girls argued - the mother went towards the escalator passing me. The she said something to her oldest daughter, the abuser, who snapped " SHUT UP!!" while they disappeared downwards. I was stunned. TO HER MOTHER _ IN PUBLIC _ and the mother didn't do a thing!! The girl could have been 12 -13 at the most and her sisted, the kicked one maybe 10-11. The third little girl who silently witnessed it al may have been 7. Where did this older child learn this behavior? Why didn't the mother do anything? It was sad to see how she just let it happen.
  13. I agree with both Carol and Nancy. There are times I would like to smack that kid myself and there are times I'd want to physically step in in defense of the child, but I left it with a verbal step in. Abuse must be stopped.
  14. I will sing with the choir. Pretty dress and a killer date !! You guys look wonderful .
  15. Beautiful, Beth. I love the flowers so much, the Magnolias, and the primroses. I have never managed to keep primroses alive so you are in good company. What a pretty hotel, that is how a nice one is supposed to look.

  19. 1. Would you return to high school life for a week? Why or why not? (If you're currently in high school, would you redo your experiences in high school so far?) No, I would never want to go back. I hated to have to be confined in a classroom with these nazi teachers. Not all but some. 2. What is/was your favorite subject in high school? English. The only subject I was good in - and Biology but although I know I was great in it I was downgraded because the teacher once saw me smoking OFF school time. And that was the end of that interest. 3. What is/was your favorite high school hangout? What do/did you do there? Ack I must admit, it was in the park a block from school where I went with the bad girls to have a cigarrette in the long break. 4. Who are/were your favorite three teachers in high school? Who said favorite? 5. What was the craziest thing you did in high school? I was a good girl. Never dared to do anything really crazy. 6. Take this quiz - Who Were You In High School? Is his possible???? You Were the All American Kid Popular but not plastic. Athletic but not a jock. Smart but not a brain. You were well rounded and well liked in high school.
