I got an email saying my red vinyls have shipped!!!! Got my black ones yesterday. I will play the black ones, I think and keep the red ones pristine.

I chose hearing since they seem to have come a long way with repairing sight. However, it would be awful to lose any of them. Hope we never have to find out.

I used to dance with my baby sitter. She taught we the twist and all about the Beatles. Then later my cousins and I would get the broom, mops, whatever and pretend to play and sang with the Beatles songs...shaking our heads when we sang -oooooo. We were all enthralled with their sound and the other bands that Tom listed. I remember each song and it was soooo cool listening to them with an AM radio.

Dealing with someone in the clutches of addiction is always difficult...and the tough love may seem harsh. However, in my experience (which unfortunately has been considerable), tough love is the only way to deal with an addict. It is a shame it turned out the way it did. However, Howie had too many strikes against him - youth, wealth, availability...it is difficult for someone with these attributes to overcome it. They have to reach rock bottom to ask for help. Tom firing him was a way to make him reach rock bottom. Sheltering him and letting him be sub-par is only fuel to the fire. The article made Tom look bad...but he was actually trying to help him when others were unintentionally keeping him sick and aiding in the disease. When dealing with addiction, tough love is necessary.

4. Your latest complaint: My sister-in-law who lets her adult kids run over her and use her. They kept things all stirred up for Thanksgiving. Lots of drama....
5. Were you the bully on your playground? If not, who was? Of course not. Too shy back then. Don't really remember...there was a guy on the school bus who used to pick on me a little. He has definitely paid for it over the years.

Will be there at 8pm. Gotta do something at 12 noon.

I agree. Search the suspicious ones and leave grandma alone. I know you can't tell by looking at someone, but all the ones who have caused problems so far have been easily identifiable.

Should be able to make one or the other, maybe both....the turkey sandwich sounds good!

I should be around too.

Not very fashion-conscious, I'm afraid. Would wear my athletic shoes all the time if I could. Tend to go for comfort. Hate heels.

I couldn't answer the question. I am still unsure about the death penalty. I know I would easily be able to kill someone who caused pain and death to my family, friends, or pretty much even total strangers. However, I would have to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they did it. I do know our justice system does not always convict the right people. I also know that guilty ones go free sometimes too. I do not know what the deterent is, but I do know there is more evil in the world today than there has ever been. Those people that kill without remorse, for their own pleasure are demons as far as I am concerned and need to be removed. However, there are some circumstances when people get caught up in matters that may be technically considered murder, but may have been self-defense. I also think that men like that freak that kidnapped Elizabeth Smart should be removed from earth too. You cannot rehabilitate these folks. Nor do I want to pay the cost to keep them alive forever either. It is a tough question and each case should be analyzed carefully. I am sure if someone hurt someone close to me, I would mentally want them to suffer. However in actuality, I do not know that I could be the person to bring it about.

Still waiting......I don't think I will play the red one. May just save it for awhile.

No. I don't think John wanted to. He wasn't keen on reliving the past.

Yes. I auditioned for chorus in college and an "Operetta" in middle school. Got both. Was an Italian girl in an orphanage. Was in a lot of plays in school. I used to love it. I played an old lady in a play in college. Have had to speak in front of people a lot in my job. I don't like speaking much. I would much rather play a part - acting is easier than being yourself. ^Pawie, we could do a duet, lol!

My gripe is people having excuses for everything...had a student contact me that HER SISTER is pregnant and due any day which may cause the student to not be able to make the dates posted on the last exam and final exam. WHAT??? I told her....if it isn't YOU in labor, it don't count. Good grief! They have a 3 days time span to take a test. How did people get to the point where everything revolves around their personal lives? The world is supposed to be put on hold for every little thing.
Then again, I once had a student who called me from the labor room to tell me she wouldn't be in class the next day (Friday). I could hear the doctor telling her to push, lol! I told her she could have gotten her husband to call, you know. He wasn't doing anything. She was back in class the following Monday. Now that's work ethic!
