Unfortunately I use it all the time for work. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't care if I had one at all. People are so rude with them and obviously can't drive and talk at the same time. But, if I do not have it with me, it seems all my students and co-workers have a crisis....

I don't really care if they are married or not. I do care that the parents make a life-long committment to the raising of the child and to each other. Children need both parents, and it is much, much better when they are a family unit and dedicated to one another.

That is absolutely scary!

The worst neighbors I have now are 3 red-necks at the end of the road who have 10 old cars in the yard, bags of trash on a trailer, and never mow their yard. One of them puts up Christmas decorations and leaves them until July when her dogs finally get them torn to bits. So, when I give directions to my house, I tell them turn left right before the carpet store, pass the red-neck neighbors and we are the first house on the left.

I have windows 7 on my new laptop...no problems swapping files between XP and 7. Vista, I don't know......it's crap as far as I am concerned. I have vista on a work laptop --doesn't play well with others at all. So I am using XP, vista and windows 7...all at the same time......crazy!

I wonder what is happening now?

I have started limiting people I "friend" on facebook. Even if I do not post it, what someone I befriend says also reflects on me. Definitely do not add people from work and students only if they have already graduated. I learned a long time ago to be careful with what you say in emails too. Anything written can be used against you.

^^I completely understand Barb!! I had a student tell me last semester that she may be late taking her final exam because her sister is pregnant and may go into labor anytime. I told her unless she was the one having the baby, it doesn't count. WTH? Craziest thing for me this week -- had an appointment to see a specialist in Jacksonville FL who was supposed to be the guru for fixing TMJ problems. I have been seeking a solution for over a year now. The day before my appointment, the office called me to say they are closing his office permanently due to a medical emergency. First time that has ever happened to me.
