Hang in there Susan. It will be worth it. It is a hard habit to break, but I did it about 10 years ago. If I can quit anyone can.

A record shop. Don't know anything about instruments. I love vinyl albums...so a record shop full of vinyl would be great!

Oh no! I am a music appreciator not a music doer.

Haven't been able to play for sometime due to a back injury, but I dearly loved playing tennis. There was a time when I played daily. Was on a college tennis team, believe it or not. Ah youth!

^Seems I remember a quote saying something like.."guests are like fish, they really smell after 3 days."

Happy birthday!!

I'm glad Pete made a pie for you! How sweet! I don't think I would want Wesley to make one for me...he has enough trouble just warming up food in the microwave.

I don't really collect anything.

Off for a couple of weeks....had to have two herniated disks repaired in my neck....so no shopping for me....but then I never do shop at Thanksgiving....so no real loss. I am grateful the pain is gone!!!

I took the day off from technology to spend the day with biological family. Now I am back to say I am thankful for my mudcrutch family too. Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday and remain safe from the shopping crowds.

^I feel safer traveling since cell phones were invented. I agree you have to be aware and careful anywhere.

I liked Roger Moore best too. Sean Connery is a close second. Don't know which is my favorite...I guess any of the older ones. Don't like the newer ones much.

Great pictures, Lotta! Love Ape's new shoes! I am glad everyone had a wonderful time.

We will eat at my sister-in-law's house. I am not cooking anything this year....first time since forever. I am looking forward to some good food.

I would love a house on the beach.

True. I think that is why Romney lost and why we will not have another republican in office until they can become a little more neutral in scope and focus more on how they can improve things for the majority of Americans. I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican....not party affiliated. I do not think only one or the other has the exclusivity for leadership and good ideas. Maybe we need to find someone who can take the good ideas of both parties and pull the nation back together....maybe I would campaign for someone like that.

No. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of originality in the TV world. I watch diners, drive ins and dives once in awhile or Big Bang Theory if I happen to catch them...otherwise I just let my husband flip channels and complain that there is nothing on.

That is a terrible piece of legislation. THC stays in the bloodstream for up to 1 month after consumption...so testing positive means you inhaled sometime within the last month and is NOT evidence of impairment. Some lawyers will have a blast fighting this one, and will make a nice living off of it.

Neither. Not sure the election is going to change anything in Washington or the economy. Got a feeling it will be 4 more years of treading water. Until some major changes occur in congress, we aren't going anywhere.

If you count a 403b account as investing. I know it sure took a hit a few years back when the stock market took a dive. I do not make the choices of where to put money, but have a managed portfolio since I know nothing about stocks.

I do get very sick of the constant barrage of commercials and phone calls! I find if I vote early, I get fewer phone calls....Don't know how they know...but they do. I think it is the feeling that the politicians in office have no impact on the course of people's lives...people feel disconnected with the whole process and do not believe anyone in Washington cares about them. Because of this feeling, people do not vote or participate at all, allowing the corrupt to take away aspects of our lives that made America a great place to live and work. I am very concerned as I see pensions, and other benefits taken away from people, while no one speaks up for the workers. Our children will not have a chance to retire and enjoy their "golden" years as our parents were able to do. It is doubtful many of my age group will either, although we have paid into the system for 40 years. I see our government taking on debt our children will have to repay, just to keep large corporations from failing, while they reward CEOs with huge bonuses, and I know the people have given up on those that govern us...and that is why (in my opinion) they do not bother to vote. My husband and I were discussing this the other day. We expressed that the way our state jobs have began deleting benefits and are trying to get out of paying retirement to those of us not yet retired, even though we have been loyal employees and paid into the system for all these years, has started to make us feel like giving up, striving for less, expecting nothing for the future. Once we would work as many hours as we could, try to earn as much as possible, worked hard for promotions, wanted nice things while also saving for the future. Now we really want very little but to be free of the job where you are no longer appreciated or respected. Sorry to rant on.....but you really touched a nerve here. This economy is taking a toll on so many!
