Well, I had a Catholic Dad...so Friday Fish day was common. We also always had fish sticks on friday at school...but we are talking the 60s....I think they dropped that rule many years ago as schools became more secular.

I am so picky! No seafood, no undercooked meat (I'm with Nurk on that), no organ meats, no duck or duck livers. These make me gag!! I have other problems too...can't eat anything dry or too stringy. Because of years of GERD, I have scar tissue that prevents me from swallowing really dry stuff. have had esophagus stretched twice, but still have problems with dry bread, rice, pasta, potatoes etc. So do not eat sandwiches, hamburgers, most pasta dishes(unless drenched in sauce), and potatoes unless covered in ketchup or butter/sour cream. since I have a tendency to plump up very easily...I usually just avoid dense or sticky type food. have trouble swallowing capsules too. It is a real pain!! I miss a big thick burger.

I don't eat fish any day or night...regardless of Friday. When I was a kid, we always had fish on Friday...and I would eat fish sticks, lol! That was a long time ago.

I use garlic a lot and cayenne. Love hot stuff! I also love fresh basil, thyme, and almost any spice.

Well I live in the boonies in the middle of a bunch of folks like those seen on redneck reality shows.....all attitude and no brains. You have to go out of the area to see a movie in a theater in peace and comfort.

Forest Gump! I do not like to go to theaters anymore since people are so rude. They talk through the movie and use cell phones etc.....the popcorn and stuff are so over priced. I watch movies at home where I can control the conditions.

Heard Spike and Good Enough LIVE recently and they were great! Also got to see Cabin Down below and Best of Everything LIVE recently too. I wish I could go back in time to the 80s and 90s and see the band LIVE and UP CLOSE!

I do enjoy it! This year there was a lot of drama though....which I hate. I am thinking my last times of inviting my family for dinner are over. You get tired of trying to be the glue that keeps it all together!!

We have a Gram Parsons tribute weekend in September that is full of lots of music and bands. As for my weekend plans....relax!! Classes start back on Monday....

My husband had a mustang fastback in high school that almost cost him his license. I had a 73 Chevy Belair with a 450 engine that could smoke most cars today....and could take 4 couples in comfort to the drive-in!
