I wonder what kind of home the "step" mom came from. So often abusers were abused theirselves and never got help, or were kept silent. Good on the drivers and school for going further with this. Many times people don't want to be bothered. In my county a PPO that was issued against my ex's then husband for trying to smother her with a pillow and telling her that he was going to cut the "f**king heads off her children and send their bodies back to their father (me) in a body bag" was kept hidden from me for 14 years. I only discovered it by mistake while going through some court files a year ago, looking for some unrelated information. Funny how even the "authorities" can hide the facts. At the time I was trying to say that the girls visitations were unsafe. The friend of the court in Monroe were to be busy trying to defend the mother,( as she was saing her husband was a nice man) and were not looking out for the children's best interest. Its funny for how far we've come as a society that many people in power still believe that only a "woman" or "mother" can raise a child. Then when something like this happens, everyone turns their heads. Last year we had a man's girlfriend kill a little 2 year old !! Yes, Virginia there are some wicked women too !!

Detroit.......cops are mean and nasty, and crooked. City looks like its abandoned. Street people try to wash your windshield when you're at a stop sign. Buildings standing empty that look like they need to be torn down. Just awful. But lots of people don't want to face the truth, so they pretend its on a comeback.....( They've been saying that since the '70's ! ) Ever wonder how long a comeback lasts ? I much prefer Columbus or Lansing but they are further away, but are cleaner from what I've seen.

I wasn't to I saw this question. I had a terrible sleep last night filled with worries about the economy, etc., just everything bothering me. Then before work I looked in on my sons who are both sleeping and I thought , yes, you are one lucky sob. So yes for the most part I am very happy, and content. I Thank God for my blessings everyday. I pray for all my friends here too.

Haven't seen this here yet, but just read where Neil Apinall (the 5th beatle, road manager, friend, etc. ) has died from lung cancer at 66. So sad. So sad to think how many connected to the beatles have died from cancer.

In my little town the only place there is an elavator ( other than the hospital) is at the county courthouse. So small they name the basement floor 1 so when you get in and push 2 you wind up where you started. Confusing ? very much. Anyway you don't want to go to court unless ya have to. LOL I usually take the stairs as you won't find any other the fat county workers, cops and lawyers walking the stairs LOL.

Work for myself, but I'm regulated by the state laws. My advice to the state, learn the trade, before you make the rules.

I wonder what she really thinks of the "people" her charities help ? I mean she use to say nice things about Paul, and now we learn the truth. Make you wonder, and I don't trust her anymore.

Glad its over for him, but I wish he would've got a cut of whatever she "earned" during their marriage, whether he needs it or not, that would be the fair unsexist thing to do. I believe she wrote a book about her life that came out or was reprinted after she married him. I hope the media will not give her anymore time as she now not a "somebody", just a lesson to all people to make sure that who they marry is someone that they really does "love" them.
