  1. You can't even get Granholm to answer her mail, even before she was sick. I wrote to her asking her how it felt to be the head of the largest cockolding place in the US.....and one protected by MI law....and her office responded that the governor branch doesn't make the laws to write to my rep. I wrote back and told them I knew the governor did not make the laws, I'm not stupid I was trained in their public schools....just answer the question Does she feel that it is right that a husband is made to support and raise a child that his wife had through an affair and is not his ? And is it fair that the husband would be put in jail for not paying support ? I haven't heard back yet. Maybe I can meet her at one of the town meetings she has once in a blue moon. They all know its morally wrong.....and yet because how the state is set up, this perversion is protected by law. They are just hoping that the rest of the country does not get wise to this perversion.

  2. No, wingspan, its at a little club/bar on the southside of Toledo.

I have to call Jonesville on May 14 for more bookings. I've spoken with the man there and he wants us back, but has a trustee meeting first. So far, every place we have played wants us back, which is like a first for me. This is really a bunch of nice guys that enjoy playing music we like. I want to work in more of Tom Petty, and the Beatles...Guess Who......just a bunch of rock n roll like that. I'm also hoping to do some originals with these guys too.

So what started as thinking we might find work once a month has turned into 7 nights for this month alone !!

Thanks for your comments Nylle !

  3. In the book that I've read....THE BOOK I should say. Jesus says believe in me and you are saved and you will see him in heaven. Its so simple, its almost to simple, but sometimes things in life are like that. Jesus doesn't say If you don't go to church X amount of times, or you need to give X amount of dollars, etc.

There really are no conditions other than believeing. Now, when and if you "sin", and we all do, you can ask for forgiveness and Jesus, forgives you. So many people think "sin" is only sexual, but sin could be as simple as not helping some body who needs help such as a door held for them, or maybe ignoring some persons needs. I think Jesus made it very simple, but it was mankind and the church that complicated things. Love and Peace really started with Jesus, so simple , so pure.

  4. Its a chinese restaurant, that starts with JIng....but I can't think of the 2nd part of the name, I just know where its at. Usually though if we eat out its fast food.

I'm really trying to cook home meals so my children will learn that there is more to eating than eating out all the time.

  5. Well we must be doing something right, we got an offer for a house gig.

We are not able to do both Fridays and Saturdays because of other bookings, so we got the rest of the Fridays for this month. The crowd really liked "yer so bad" and several people said that I sounded like Tom Petty !! Now I have to learn some more Tom Petty songs...I'm thinking "walls" and "listen to her heart" and 2 or 3 other ones.

  6. My Dad, Richard was born on this day back in 1923. He always talked about how it had snowed on that day. His Grandparents were born in Germany, and they were both large people. They rode in an old Model T and one sat in the front, and one in the back. His father's name was Robert and his Mother was Rose. He was 1 of 15 children.

He had 3 siblings die before age of 3. He had a brother (Bud) who died in France on D-day. He went to school, but only through the 6th grade as he had to go to work. His family was very poor, and sometimes they could only afford to eat Lard sandwiches. He also was in WW II. He served in the Pacific where he was a medic. He never talked much about the war, but did say that once he had to put a man's eye back in the socket, and put tape over it. He recalled being in a fox hole and water was pouring in the color of blood cause so many men had gotten killed. He had an army book that had his picture in it at age 19/20 giving new recruits a shot !! He married my mother, Ruth, and had my brother, Larry, in 1946. I came along 9 years later !!

He decided after the war that he had, had enough of being a medic, and although he could have pursued the medical field he became a carpenter. His work was seasonal, winters were always rough when I was a child. He loved my mother, and I never did hear them argue, even a little bit. He smoked cigarettes and liked black label beer, but never was a drunkard, although I did see him drunk once. He told a lot of jokes and people say my brother and I got our humor from him. He loved country music like Hank Williams and Roy Acuff. He didn't care for my "beatle" hair but accepted it and was proud that I was a musician. He bought me equipment, and loaned me money when I was broke on the road. He was exposed to asbestos, and had emphysema.

He retired at age 51, due to health issues, and had a mini stroke at age 56. He never slept a complete night after that. He stood by me through thick and thin, never really yelled at me when I would make big mistakes, just always told me to do better next time. He allowed me to move back in after my divorce and allowed me to live there when I got custody of my 2 daughters. He loaned me money even though he knew I wouldn't be able to pay it back. When he got sick he always pulled through. Except the last time, he had loss alot of weight and was very thin, and when I visited him in the hospital I knew it wouldn't be long. He was telling his room partner that I was in a musician and was playing in a local band at clubs. I knew he was as proud of me as I was of him.

He never came home from that stay....the doctor said he had multiple things going wrong, plus they found a small spot of cancer. When he passed away the whole family was there. He closed his eyes and did not respond.....then he sat up and said where am I ? We said you're at the hospital.....he said I must've made a wrong turn....the light was so bright.....he closed his eyes again.....and I never heard his voice again ! I knew he was going to heaven...........I had to leave with my young daughters.....(they had been waiting in the waiting room) ...when I got home my brother called to say he was gone.

He was 66. That was in April of 1990....and not a day goes by that I don't think of my father. I named my first son after him, and my second son is named after my grandfather. I try to be as good as a father to my children as he was to me. So far, I don't think I'm quite where I want to be. I know someday I will see him again and hear that voice. I am now older than what he was when he retired, although, I don't feel as old as I thought he was at the time. I loved my Dad, and I wanted to share this with you. Happy birthday Dad !!

  7. Wow......I feel for her husband and children. Can you imagine what her family is feeling. But for the prison officials......isn't "prison" suppose to rehabilitate ?

Hasn't that been accomplished ? Has her record been clean since she left ?

Have a heart......you've got a bigger criminal running the city of Detroit.....what about that ? What about all the DUI people from MI that lose their drivers licence and move to Ohio.....that you knowingly do nothing about ? I've provided names and addresses. Like I've said before MI is one of the most corrupted states in America......we need to have the FEDS come in and clean house. You think of Utah and polygamy......in MI cuckolding is a common practice and is protected by law. ( ie. husband is held responsible for any child that his wife has outside their marriage due to an affair, he can be jailed for non support of a child that he did not father ). I so wish I would've moved out of this crooked place when I was younger. Check the recent news.....our US senator's husband is with a call girl, and they let him go, and throw the book at the girl (19 ).

Oh and one more thing, a few years ago some dude sold some drugs to a young girl I know, when I called the Monroe Co. police and told them where this house and person was at......they said they don't do it that way ! I said lets go over there and bust him, the girl is willing to go and show you.....she's been in the hospital cause the drugs were really bad, can't you get a judges order to search ? Their response was, oh we're sorry sir, but we don't do it like that . Yeah, they " don't do it like that " and thats why we have a drug problem !! That was the last year that I gave to their D.A.R.E. program.

  8. Things like these you take with a grain of salt. Maybe in his opinion, he gave a "good honest review", and isn't that what any review is, just that "person" s opinion ? I can remember some of the beach boys reviews over the years, some good, some great, some really bad ones.....the problem is when the general public starts believing them, and they tell someone else what they read, and before ya know it the band has a bed rep going on. Now from this review someone might tell another, oh I heard the guy petty is playing with can't sing very well.....and from there it just gets going....but in that review it said that Tom was having a great time and enjoying himself, which I think was the main purpose of this whole thing. I would love to hear "last DJ and Highway companion" performed live, I liked those songs. So right there this guy and I have different tastes. It will be interesting to hear reviews of the Cd, after all the hype is over with, and people have a chance to really listen. Its like with any CD, when it first comes out, people say its the best in years, then when the next one comes out, people say oh its better than the last one, which wasn't to good !! Go figure.

  9. I got mine at best buy for 11.19, I haven't really had time to listen to it properly yet. I listened to hear what the other guys sound like singing, and thought benmont did good, and should've sung a tune here and there in their 30 yr history. On first listening, it reminds me of the byrds LP, sweethearts of the rodeo, and some flying burrito brothers, and maybe some later byrds things. Just listening to it, piece by piece, nothing jumped out at me like "last DJ" CD or "highway companion". I wish the deluxe version had been in the store, but it wasn't. I think they should've filed it under "tom petty" or at least put a few in that rack, to make it easier for some people to find. I know they're trying to make this a different thing, but then why advertise TP's catolog inside the Cd ? Anyway I want to listen to the mix and recording. On first listen the bass drum didn't seem quite as loud as in some of Tom's mixes. The packaging is very nice.

  10. I've started a thing the other night before going to bed...sort of a take off on Tom's buried treasure show ....I listen to a mix match kind of music but keep it to 3 to 8 songs.......last night......rocket 88, down the road a piece, sign of the times (pet clark), Lies (knickerbockers) Day Tripper , and then to bed !! Kind of makes me forget my troubles and so far I sleep better !!
