    Hey flower I have an uncle and family in Indiana round ft.wayne and new haven.

    Right now I'm pretty awake. ( I wasn't an hour ago). I was beat yesterday, but I went to the dr. (under the wife's orders) and found out I had a chest infection. So I'm on anti-biotics (z pac) and I feel quite a bit better.

    So right now I'd say I'm a 4 !!

    I'm sad to hear this, but at the same time I think about the young girl who drowned in 1969 and how Mr. Kennnedy has lived another 39 years longer than she got the chance to. Many of our US families go through tremendous pain and suffering, and many tackle it bravely and proudly. And without the $34,500 a month pention that Mr. Kennedy will recieve. Course you seldom hear of their plight. I wish and I pray that a cure for cancer can be found. And it knows no classes, rich or poor, working class....

    I don't believe in all of Mr. Kennedy's liberalism, but I'm glad that there are people like him to balance the views of Washington.

    Happy birthday to your baby !! They sure do grow up quick don't they.

    I was talking with a woman the other day, telling her about the time my gtr player and I was on the road playing in Ft. Francis, Canada and she said how long ago, and my daughter was in the club, and I said see that girl over there, she's 25 now and was only 3 back then !! Wow where did time go ?

    Everytime I read about one that I like, I have to listen and listen to every song that they have recorded !! And thats all that I listen to. Right now its been the byrds, ccr, and tp. I know alot of rock n roll trivia, and people are always trying to stump me, or they call when they want to know who did what song.

    Last night I couldn't sleep so I read about the Byrds and how Michael Clarke got the use of the name over McQuin and the others.

    Yes, I was baptized Lutheran, so was my wife. It really helps if you are from the same denomination, at least in my view. My ex always had reasons for not baptizing, ( she was to busy, her family wouldn't come , etc.) so I had it done after we divorced, but by then the little was over 2 1/2 and the older one was 3 1/2. Maybe cause she knew the one wasn't mine and I didn't know, and she was afraid of God, I don't know, I just thought of that as I'm typing, anyway for years we celebrated their baptism with a icecream social, just the 3 of us. Both of my sons were baptized Lutheran, at a very early age. My wife and children attend every week, I make it on special days, I'm usually to tired to get up after working all week...but we pray nightly and I do believe. Sometimes, though it is very hard to keep the faith when life is throwing ya such curves !! And I don't think that I'm the first person to ask God why ? So often I've prayed for some kind of answer to why my life has taken the events that it has.

    Nurk....I have done that song in the past, and will probably be doing it again. I seen your earlier post and haven't had time to check out the song to see if there are 2 versions. I have it on the LP's greatest hits and Cosmo's factory. I also have it on the CD box set. I just got a Discoveries Magazine from 1988 with a huge article on John F. and CCR, with a great interview with Cosmo where he talks about each song that the band recorded. Really interesting. How did you do your recording ? Did you record live ? the whole band ? What kind of recording equipment ?

    To jawallac...when I played at the college it was some kind of a event that the college itself was doing so it was pretty well organized. My group will be in Toledo through June 6, and then on the 7th we are at the Ypsilanti Eagles club, and the public is invited.....so who knows, maybe someone reading this will show up.

    The place was packed last night and so we were offered the "house" gig !! We are going to be there till mid June now, both Friday and Saturday nights. She told us the band that had been playing Sat. was really bad so she let them go.

    I'm getting alot of requests for TP so I will be doing "walls" for sure, and then some of their singles. I plan on doing some CD cuts too. Any suggestions ?

    We added in to our sets one of my favorite cover songs of Rod Stewart's " I'd Rather Go Blind ". Also we've added in this week "Lodi" and "Suzy Q" "Born on the Bayou" "Dizzy Miss Lizzie" "All Along the Watchtower" "Taking Care Of Business" about 12 different songs than last Friday.

    Thats strange !! I mean I have, as many of us do, many personal things in the house that I don't want to share with the outside world. I sometimes think it might be fun just to sleep in a different room in the house. I'm thinking of camping in the backyard when my boys get older. Did that with my daughters when they were young. Maybe we'll sleep downstairs in the livng room.
