Good luck Katie !! You sound like the woman in that movie, the good-bye girl, I think thats what it was called, it had Richard Dreyfuss in it. My friend seen Ringo a few years ago and he says it was a great show, so have fun wild one !! Also in regards to what I said yesterday about the way women are dressing. In my band I sing that Big Joe Turner hit "shake, rattle and roll" and there is a line in the song " Well you're wearing those dresses and the sun comes shining through".......well yesterday at the gas station, sure enough this woman is getting gas and everything is showing ( I mean everything !! ). And I couldn't help but think of that song, but surely she must've known everyone could see through it. She was in her late 40's I guess. Don't women check to see if they are wearing a see through, or do you think she wanted people to see ? Anyway I had to tell her that she left her little door open on her gas tank, and then she said thanks, and I said "nice dress" and she thank me again !! Hot fun in the summertime, indeed !! LOL

I gave up pop about a year ago, and only occasionally have one now. According to my brother in law who is a dr., there is something in pop that affects the joints. Go figure !!

How come lately, where ever I look, I see the most beautiful women....? Tall ones, short ones, young and old, every gal is showing some skin !! Should I look back ? Or do they dress like that so you notice ? Forever young indeed !!

forever young ........your dreams never die, you experience all things in life, no matter how mundane, with joy......you love your work, your life, your family,.....you still enjoy the things you liked as a younger person,.......you accept what life has dealt you and you move on....being a free spirit......you love more than you hate things in life......you live to love.....and make love.....very hard to live by...but its so much fun trying.

Last week I started listening to this CD. Alot !! Anyway what do you think ? This could easily be one of my favorite TP Cds. I like "Deliver Me" the way it starts with the sound alike riff from "listen to her heart". "One Story Town", " Change of Heart" and " Straight Into Darkness", so many good ones. Actually the hit " you got lucky " is to me not the strongest cut here. So what do you think ? Where were you when you first heard the LP ? Did you buy it when it first came out ? I didn't get mine till about 2 years ago, so its still real fresh to me.

And what about a "Monkee" reissue program with Mike's blonde 12 string, Davy's small scale bass, Peter's tennesean bass, and the famous Monkee model !! Wow, I think Gresch is missing out on some sales that some dedicated Monkee fans would jump on.

There's one song that starts like "long cool woman" by the Hollies, 'cept its on an accoustic gtr. Anybody else hear the similarities ? Also since "You can still change your mind " was Mike's tribute to the beachboys, I was wondering, what it would've sounded like, if back in '82 they ( the beachboys) would've recorded it. This Cd has fast become one of my favorites.

To many to narrow it down to just one. Maybe Jesus ?

Thanks to all that reply. I'm enjoying these threads too, and it helps me enjoy the Cd's even more, the comments give me insights on what to listen for. Great therapy and lets me escape from my "problems". I use to not care for "woman in love" but I love the way the drums come in before the chorus, so I'm starting to like that one now.

Well I listened to this Cd for a week straight. I always did like "the waiting", and this Cd is very strong. "Nightwatchman" grew on me as the week went by. "the insider" I still don't quite understand, can someone explain the lyric to me ? Something Big is really nice, the conga's in the intro are neat. The criminal kind is good too. After listening to this Cd, I really think its one of his better ones. What do you think ? Did you have the LP ? Let us know.

Well all went well last week. We have worked out "first cut is the deepest" into a Dylan type song, and we did alot of R & B. ( midnight hour, Hold on I'm coming, etc.) last Friday. Next we are working "have I the right" by the honeycombs !! Anyway we are on a 2 week holiday, and return to gigging on August 8. We are booked for 8 dates in August, and have bookings into Oct. Yippee !!

Am I the only one, or do you too think the other guy is an assh*le ?

My tank is "huge", a conversion van, that gets between 23-25 miles highway. But then I drive at 55, anyway when its at an eighth of a tank I put gas in. And yes I have run out of gas, once turning in to a station !!

Friday was the busiest ever !! The fill-in guy played great, and if we ever need someone we will call him first. Our regular guy ( Jim ) comes back this week . Now we play this Friday than we are on 2 weeks vacation. Our gtr player is going whitewater rafting, and I've got plans too. Then we go back the 2nd wk of August every Friday, plus we have 3 of the Saturdays booked, and a Sunday. So next month will be the busiest yet. This is the most amazing group that I have ever been in. For the first time everyone likes each other. Makes it so nice.

I've been so busy I 've no time to think or worry !!
