I like this thought of Karma.....what you send out returns to you, but.....In my life, even doing good, really good, gets you no where, but then , I don't know, I have a hell of alot to be happy for, so maybe all that good , did come back, and will continue to come back.....does crime pay ?........If you can live with the fact that you did something wrong, or something to somebody that hurt them emeasurabley, I guess it does. For it might, it just wouldn't pay.

Finally found a temp state job. Did my 127 days ( 128 and the union rules they have to hire you, because it was a temp., their is no unemployment benefits, the state knows how to make the rules), prooved I was a good worker ( never missed a day, worked harder than the regulars, etc. ) Was offered a job that would be a permanant posititions within 30 days. But on the 28th day, the place issues a "hiring freeze". So now it might not be until March or April, supposedly, I was told I'm "first on the list". In meantime I've been applying for jobs all over. We'll see what'll happen. I'm optimistic though, I worked rings around the other people I've seen. Being self employed for 11 years was a valuable lesson, but what I've seen of the American work force, 80% were very lazy, and hated thier jobs. Now thats only the ones I dealt with on a day to day basis, maybe where you work its different.

It was one of the best ones in recent history, although I did miss my daughter and her new husband.

Well its easy to see which one would win, after all this site has to do with a "musical" artist and not a dress designer !! LOL

I'm not sure, but I know the character ones are the kids, and the other one is my wifes, so the one that is left is mine !!

I feel for that man and his family. Just a guy trying to make a honest dollar.

Several near me.......my wife and I at Niagra falls, Our wedding picture with her family, my wife, her sister, and her brother taken about 20 years ago, and a picture of my wife, the daughter I was told was mine, but wasn't, abd myself at Niagra Falls. Wow............I still her miss her and wish that the state wouldn't had lied to me so bad. The wedding photo makes me see how far we've come.

I guess so, cause when I hear it, I look !! LOL

I'm thinking about the financial crisis and the jobs situations. I'm thinking about life and how up and down it is. I'm tired so I'm thinking about sleep. I'm thinking how I wish I could just go away and never have to deal with anything anymore. I'm thinking how life is such a circle at times and I keep going around and around, never going ahead, just always starting over. I'm thinking what a drag it's going to be tomorrow and all the noise and meaningless conversations that I'm going to have to partake in, when I'd much rather prefer to just staying home, or be alone, or sleeping. I'm thinking how many times I've made so many wrong decisions, that seemed right at the time, I wonder when will I make a right one, that is really the right one ? These are just a few of the things that are in my mind right now.

Same here. A bandmate and I went out Saturday checking out some clubs, but it was only 16 out and very cold. Took all I had to go. But then in the summer , somedays are just to muggy out to go, so ....I guess it really doesn't matter if its cold or not, I've got to be in a mood to go.

That happen to us once. We got a piano for free if we could move it. We had to go to a little town in Ohio, about 55 miles away. We got it in the van but on the way home the van broke down. We couldn't leave the piano in the van cause then it would go to the auto shop and we wanted to get it home and practice. Now we could've pushed it down the interstate, but we seen a sign that said "non motor vehicles not allowed". So we pushed it down the hill, through an opening in the fence and started pushing it up the hill, into the woods, where it said "bike trail ahead". We eventually met a yuppie bike rider who told us that this was a trail for bikes only. So fearing that she would tell someone we went off the trail, and pushed it until the one guy couldn't take it anymore. Well it was impossible for two of us to try to push it by ourselves. So we decided we would leave it and come back later. But before we left we thought we would play some songs on it. We started playing and I guess we were rocking to hard or something, cause the piano tipped over and before we could grabbed it upright. it slid down a hill, taking my cap with it which I had sat on top of it. It slid to an edge of a drop off, and we had to hold each other's hands to try to get my cap, and hopefully the piano. But the movement we made dislodged a big rock and it rolled down and pushed the piano over the edge where it scared a deer that took off running and ran into the lady on the bike that we had met. We were scared that we would be blamed for her injury so we left the piano behind and walked back to the van. But while we were gone someone had come along and took the tires and it was left setting on the road. My friend started crying but I told him someday he would look back on this day and laugh. But I've lost track of him, so I don't know if he ever did laugh about it.

I was just going to say on you tube if you out in Tom petty accoustic live, a whole bunch of video's from the brdige school concert come up. I couldn't believe he could "don't come around here no more" like that, but he did and it was cool.

Its just since the '70's I've been promised so much shit, and I'm no better off than when I got my first job !! I paid taxes then, I pay taxes now. Health care was high then, its high now. Gas shortages and big cars were a problem then, they're a problem now. Economy was down then, its down now. War was problem then, war is a problem now. And the mindless american working class always say "well maybe it'll be better this time, he seems honest and really wants to do something" When will the working class see that these people are only out for one thing " to protect the status quo, and to keep the power between theirselves. Now maybe they throw a bone to the working class every once in awhile, and people say "see he/she really trying". The sad thing is, 30 years from now, someone will be saying and complaining about the same thing. The first dem/rep election was between Andrew Jackson and John Q. Adams ? Does that seem odd that in all these years we've never been able to overcome the 2 party system ? Workers unite !!

He promised "change" and yet has nominated people from the Clinton / washington insiders group. And the american working class gets lied to again !! Wake up America , there was a country before the two party dinosaurs took over !!

Depends on what it is . I think "everyone" is smart at something. Its discovering what that 'something" is and bringing it out. If its never found, society labels a person dumb. Its societies loss, not the person.

I made a great beef stew the other day in the crock pot !! So I'd say soups and stews !!
