House passes bill protecting 2 million acres of wilderness
Dynabeat Tim replied to Refugee's topic in Depot Street
Just something else that we can't afford to do. How do these Nazi's in Washington come up with all this spending anyway ? ( spending in enforcing the laws, policing the areas , and up keep ). Why don't we just give it all back to the indians and go back home !! -
Oh my gosh, this reminds me, its my wife's birthday !! TY

I stay up late when I'm singing in my band, ( 3:30 am ). I get up early (2:30 am ) when I work my day job.

Yes, and if they gave any money to any politician, that money should be given back to pay off that companies debts. They would not even have a company, had the natural law of business been allowed. All bail outs do is prolong a dying company, and give false hope to people who depend on that company. Maybe thats why blacksmiths are harder to find than they were 200 years ago. (oh and lets not forget the chariots ).

Drugs....( a unnatural act) Sex.....a human trait. If America could lighten up from all their sexual hangups, there would be no need for any drug to ease your pain or other ills. Not all sex results in babies or disease. Remember even King David asked for concubines, instead of an aspirin..LOL. ......What the world needs now...is love, sweet love...etc. etc. etc.

Had a windfall of $100 !! I got word of my new job, starting next week. My band is booked solid. The kids are behaving, feeling pretty good, and there is light coming from the end of the tunnel, so as the Beatles sang "It's Gettin' Better All The Time "

We went over a year without cable. But now we have our cable, phone, and internet through cable, and its cheaper than having all 3 services done separately. Verizon was $54 alone for a house phone.

Warmer-Than-Average Temperatures Raise Migraine Risk
Dynabeat Tim replied to Refugee's topic in Depot Street
Also they say migraines cause a reduction in sex in most marriages. But I also read where marriage was the number one cause of divorce !!! -
Yes, of course. I've been playing for years, and my finger tips are as hard as rocks. What kind of gtr would it be ? maybe a rickenbacker or gretsch ?

I'm waiting to hear from my states's attorney general ( Mike Cox ). I've challenge him to stop being a chicken ass and go on National TV with me, and explain to America why the state of MIchigan prosecuted the black male mayor of Detroit for lying under oath in Michigan, but my ex, who is a white female, was able to lie under oath, even after she had admitted in depositions that she had lied under oath, and the local governing body knew it and assisted her in her lies. He's a chicken shit and he knows it, cause its a documented case and it shows corruption, and pay offs, and the whole nine yards. I would love to get Gov. Granholm on a national TV show, and have her explain her states actions. ( and you thought only Ill. was crooked )

I hate to be like everyone else so.....Merry Christmas !!!

Yes, and tax the hell out of it and do away with property taxs, gas tax, etc. I heard on the news how many billions are going into Mexico for Cocaine and other drugs. TAX IT !!!!! ( but someone made a point, it is a huge industry to catch and beat people, court time, lawyers, prisons, etc. ) I think it should be regulated like no smoking on the job , just like you can't drink on the job. ( although where I worked a few months back, the workers were hitting the grass pretty regularly ). I don't think making it legal will make more people smoke, just like drinking, not everybody drinks, etc. ( although there will be those who abuse it, but they do that now anyway ). Might be alot more fat people eating munchies, etc. ( I agree with Nurk and Ref on this one ). I know there are alot of government workers doing the stuff now....so.....lets get to the point and roll another joint !!! Hey maybe paying for sex and taxing that will come to. ( or maybe they could legalize that just for medical reasons !!! LOL )

America becoming less Christian, survey finds
Dynabeat Tim replied to Refugee's topic in Depot Street
To often people confuse "organized religion" and "belief in God". There appears to be alot of people who are very 'spiritual' or "believe" but they don't go to a church, etc. "god", to me is every where. Rather a person feels the need, to go to a building, or go to a mountain, search and you'll find something. If someone feels comfort in going to 'church' more power to them. If someone feels like praying in their home, more power to them. I've known people who go to church, and yet do "bad" things outside the church, and some that stay home and do "good" things. But there is another common misbelief of people who don't go much, that those who do go, should be without sin. In fact, some people who go, usually feel they are full of sin, and need to reconcile with God. If you can just try to treat others the way that you want to be treated, life seems to go alright. On the other hand, if a person is ripping you off, etc., then that must be the way they want to be treated. In my case, the way the government agencies have lied and screwed me, tells me they want the populace to lie and screw them. LOL -

Now this may sound stupid, but what the *ell is a "croc" ? I have probably seen them, but didn't know their name. And I like sandals in the spring and summer, early fall.

It is, even more so in this economy. I realize how lucky I am to be able to make extra money to support my family, and to be with musicians that are such great friends too. Its taken years to find 4 guys that actually like one another and get along. Thats one of the things I like so much about TP & the guys, and I respect them for that.

Well Sat. came and went, and it went very well. Started at 9:30 and went to 11:30 then took a break till 12 and then went to 1:40 !! Played some TP that I hadn't played before, but I have listened to them enough, that I knew how they should go. ( I had the words/chords with me). I did "walls", "you don't know how it feels", "MJ last dance" and "Into the great wide open" and "yer so bad" . on "yer so bad" I used my accoustic 12 string, and as soon as I started strumming the first chord ( Am ) a woman at the first table started singing 'yer so bad' and I said 'you're reading my mind' and she said " I like Tom Petty ". I also did several Beatle songs, some David Allen Coe, Lynrd Skyrnd, Sam Cooke, Buddy Holly, Stones, Elvis, Monkees, Bob Seger, CCR, Cascades, george strait, bobby Darin, Guess Who, Bob Dylan, some blues, some originals and others. The night went so fast, it was over before we even knew it. We had several people dancin', and this is in a place that normally people never dance, there is no dance floor, so some women moved a couple of tables. I also had several ladies come up and tell me that I have an amazing voice !! It was really a feel good situation. Made quite a bit of money too. It was really alot of fun playing with just a percussionist. He had a alot of fun too. My band has the next 2 months booked every weekend with a Wed thrown in the mix too. Plus my new job starts this Thurs, so I know I'm going to be BUSY. Which for me is the key to not be thinking of my past 'hurt'.
