  1. Let's all fly down and watch for him....we could get walkie-talkies and wear trench coats.
  2. I gave a MOJO CD to a writer friend who loves Benmont just as much as I do after he made very kind remarks about Benmont and Benmont's influence on the Heartbreakers. He deserved a treat.
  3. I dressed up to emcee a talent show last week at my alma mater.
  4. Have you read this article.... http://www.songwritersuniverse.com/lynch.htm
  5. You really are a huge fan. Welcome to the Farm. In the documentary I love the way Benmont talks about Stan and how he played on "Mary Janes Last DAnce." I appreciate that we seem to be hearing more from Benmont and Mike over the past few years - I love how they talk about their music, their notes, the sound. Maybe we will hear more about their relationships over time. I keep listening. And hope you do too.
  6. The documentary really answers so many questions, plus its entertaining and worth watching numerous times. I never tire of seeing all those handsome faces on screen talking about the music they adore. Stan has had a great career both with the Heartbreakers and without. Watching old videos of him pounding away are so cool.
  7. I wish I could have seen it on a bigger screen. Love the images of the Bentley with wings and the police on Segways... and the guitar solo, of course. I hope she tackles another one.
  8. I'm reading Keith Richards book - it's not as good as I hoped it would be. Although it has a conversational tone, I wish it would dig a bit deeper, and have more expanded scenes.
  9. Stan and Benmont really come out in a good light in this article. I love Benmont's recollections - so honest and refreshing.
  10. Maybe it's me...it was one of the first threads I started. Maybe that's why no one responded. I just thought it was cool to see Stan - still out there, still passionate. Sometime Bob Lefsetz gets a bit heavy handed for me, but then there are those other times, when his words make me shake my head, and say yeah - you got it right man. Anyone see all those amazing responses recently regarding Lefsetz's post about Steve Winwood. Those responses showed just how much great music and musicians bring out our strongest emotions. I'm so glad I signed up for his blogged - I might not read them all, but some of his posts are brilliant.
  11. I didn't mind the scan - I have been through it twice already. The other day I was in Dallas at Love Field and was wondering if the security was tight enough. I don't mind the scanner - I really don't want to be patted down by a complete stranger. I'm sorry you are going to have to go through that Marion.
  12. Sad. Thank heavens for firefighter - they really are amazing.
  13. ^I laughed at that, too. I thought some of the footage was great. Wasn't Ron cute when Tom introduced him as the #1 Heartbreaker. And the footage of Benmont was great, rarely do we actually get to see behind that fortress of Steinway, Hammond and Wurlitzer. I loved watching Benmont on "Melinda" - one of my favorites highlighting Benmont.
  14. There are only 433 with my last name. And there is one or less people with my first and last name. That is such a strange phrase one or less - I must be a subset of one.
  15. Benmont has puppy dog eyes in that photo - cute.
  16. Mike does an amazing job explaining how the records were made. I love listening to his take on things - he is so articulate.
  17. As far away from my sister as possible - that should be an option. LOL.
  18. Yep - a lot, especially artsy films and tearjerkers.
  19. Lake Maggiore - I like to sit on the shore and drink wine and eat cheese. Sometimes I like to rent a paddle boat and paddle around. Haven't been there in awhile, wish I could go back.
  20. I love it. I'm writing currently writing an essay about my Hearthbreakers obsession.....it sounds just like this video.
  21. I was wishing I was you in that photo...that Brian is one fine looking man.
  22. http://www.mudcrutch.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1891&highlight=brian+dirty+knobs&page=5 Hopefully, Nurk this is the one - I might be wrong. It still is a good photo.
