  1. I’m a late comer. I originally joined in 2008 in anticipation of going to my second Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers concert (yes - I am late to finding them as well). I was never approved on the “officials,” so one afternoon I was surfing the web and I found Mudcrutch Farm – so inviting and filled with nice people. So I stayed. My first post was about the Houston concert and the amazing Mike Campbell handing me a pick. That magical moment made me a fan forever. So I figure I'd find a place to hang out with fans like me. Thanks for being here everybody.

  2. My sister and I don't have any rivalry. She has always been skinny and cute, while I have always been chubby and plain. She can’t add two numbers together while I can build complex models. She was homecoming queen, I was voted most talented. She speaks French, and I try to converse in German. She introduced me to rock and roll – and I will always remember our walks to Yardbirds record store on 63rd Street.

WildflowerNJ – I recently took her to see James Taylor – front row. Something she has always wanted. Well, during “Shed A Little Light” I was singing right along -- standing, beaming, loving the music and the amazing musicians. Well, Arnold McCuller reached out for my hand and we sang harmony together. My sister said, “Why do you think he picked you?” She should have known – there isn’t anything like the smile on my face when I hear music I love. I think she was jealous for just a moment.

  3. And let''s face it, our Heartbreakers look pretty good. Well at least I think so...and I know a few others on this site think so, too. Dreamy Ron Blair looks pretty darn good for 62...and to me Tom looks hotter now then he did 15 years ago. Mike doesn't seem to age, his pants just get looser (see the thread on photos please)....And when Benmont dons his Fedora, who would even image his hair is slightly thinning unerneath. And Steve's arms, those arms can't be approaching 60 - no way.

  4. ^Peggy Lee's "Fever" - in my opinion, is the best recording of that song ever. That woman was amazing and I think you have great taste. I got to see her a long long time ago - her voice was as smooth as silk, delicious as foie gras. She sang so effortlessly, yet she filled the room - what presence, what a person.

I think my last new CD was Mark Knopfler's "Get Lucky" -

  5. We were cracking up Mom and I since I had to get a running start on a few of them. It was so much fun, she is so patient with me. And thank heavens for all the ramping - it would have been a shame to miss the herb garden...and the flower garden...and the artwork..and the sun...and the laughter.

But, I still got to get out there for the Knobs. Thanks for being such lovely people. Your hearts are as big as your love for our boys..The Heartbreakers (and the Dirty Knobs, of course).
