^Thirty-four years ago I went to opening day at Wrigley Field and sat in the bleachers. I tried to buy a beer, but I couldn't produce a forged ID. Now, I'd rather hit a concert, than a game. But someday I have to get to Fenway.

Rainbow, sparkly and big - with lots of cymbals and a magic wand that would douse the crowd with pixie dust.

I took my overly friendly lab-puppy for a walk this morning and at ever turn there was another dog - he had never seen so many dogs before in his life. I think it scared him. He's accustomed to people, but not to dogs. I need to get him out more with his own kind. Also, I let him take the end of his leash for the last block or so -- I want him to think he's in control. I think its good for his self-esteem. My neighbors don't approve that he isn't as well trained as theirs.

So I agree with NORMANDI - follow Benmont. I hope he tweets on the road.

I think Benmont tweets just enough - and the remarks are laced with humor, insight and some politics. And he replies to most tweets. I love the photo he has up currently. I wish whoever sends out the tweets for Tom Petty would try to give it a little bit more of a Tom flavor. But they're fine, but not funny or insightful. Benmont's tweets are often insightful, but usually always funny.

Have you already met with the finacial aid office? Usually they have a list of potential scholarships (outside government funding and grants) that may be helpful. Push to get an appointment with someone and go prepared with questions and ideas. Also, you might try to make a list of organizations that might help you - think inside and outside of the box -- women's organizations, Alanon,.... Don't be afraid to cold call organizations to see if they have scholarships or grants or a mentor program. Also surf the net for grant money - but be targeted in your search. If you need to write an essay for a grant or a scholarship, I would be happy to review it. I don't know you or much about you, but really try and see what money is out there. I can't help - I have one starting college in the Fall and one who graduated and needs me to help pay his student loans. If you need someone to bounce ideas off of - PM me.
