Oh you asked when does the sun come up, not when does it come out?
In Seattle today, at 5:44 am.
-
Usually late July or early August here in Seattle. :003:
You think I'm kidding.

Sometimes fruit, sometimes a bowl of raisin bran or cheerios. Occasionally on Sundays, a hot breakfast.

I'll be watching a lot of it. US Women's soccer team plays today, and some swimming events today also.

Sweet guitar, Nurk! Too bad I didn't know you at the time. It would have been nice to meet up with you.
My favorite collectible - and the only TPATH thing I have on display in the cave - is the autographed DVD cover of "Live at the Olympic" that many of us got for being the first hundred to purchase that DVD when it was offered on the official website.

1-100. I find now that my iPhone connected to the "Sync" system in the car allows me to take a crazy amount of music with me in the car - and I can arrange it and play it any way I want to. Mostly what I burn are bootleg downloads, and then copy them into the music library on my computer. I also have all of it backed up "in the cloud".

Yes indeed. I'm still rehabbing from my hip replacement surgery 2 weeks ago.

At work - way more than 30, but our SPAM and virus filtering catches 99% of it. At home probably less than 20 per day.

New York City. Because its the greatest city in the world, and because I've never been there. It's an itch that must be scratched.

Really nice. The George guy plays both parts of "And Your Bird Can Sing" beautifully. Even George himself didn't do both parts at the same time.
This band is one of the very best Beatles tribute acts out there. They rarely come out west. I had tickets to see them a couple summers ago, but the show was cancelled at the last minute due to delayed planes trying to get through storms back east. It is my understanding that this was the only show they've ever cancelled in nearly 30 years in the business. Indeed they're very practiced, and very good.
I have seen "Rain" and thought they were also very, very good.

Very cool. I learned a couple of things there, thanks. I've seen "Rain" and they put on an incredible show. Highly recommended.

Thanks Nurk, I enjoyed that.

looking for a job, I suppose.

I agree with Rick, 4 is minimum - 5, if you want keys and bass at the same time. I think you need 2 guitarists or you lose a lot when the guitarist takes a solo.

Yes, a few years back we recorded at the Seattle Art Institute. One of the guys in the band had a son going through the program and we got some free studio time. Among other things, we did a version of "Rhino Skin".

1. Where are you now? If you are in private, what room are you in? Man cave
2. Find a thing in the room which starts with the letter L. Lamp
3. Look out the window. What do you see? Hummingbird feeder.
4. Find a blue thing and tell us what it is. Lights on the stereo are blue
5. Are there any musical instruments in the room? Several guitars, a bass, a mandolin, a couple of ukuleles, several harmonicas, several amps.
6. What is the weather like today? Cloudy, and lucky to touch 70.

Absolutely fabulous version. The Heartbreakers immediately set a perfect groove, as always. What a shame they had to cut that one out of the box set.

Happy Birthday Brandon!
Quick question - tell us about that Rickenbacker guitar in your avatar. Looks like a 620 maybe?

I'm pretty fond of a good Mai-Tai, but also my own creation called a "Dirty Doctor" which is rum and diet Dr. Pepper. No sugar, no hangover. :003:

Mad Men - best scene of the year - Don Draper (Jon Hamm) sitting in his Manhattan apartment and his (younger) wife spins the new Beatles record "Revolver", trying to see if her husband "gets it". "Tomorrow Never Knows" starts playing......and clearly Don doesn't get it, because after a bit, he lifts the needle off the record. Silently fade to commercial....

Play guitar.

This morning. Laughter is required every day. I'm the guy at meetings that cracks jokes. If we're not laughing every day, I don't want to be there.

My company supplies nearly everything I need for my home office. I rarely have buy anything, but usually it's on-line when I do.

R&R. Not the booze, the rehab and recovery. I'm laying low for the next couple of weeks.

A Badfinger CD, and it hasn't arrived yet.
