Yeah I let my membership expire because there was no concert near me this year, so I can't even go look at that board any more. One irritation is that I still get e-mails from threads that I subscribed to a long time ago, and I can't login to unsubscribe.

I've traveled to the Far East - Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, but I went west to get there. So which one is that?

I think 70 mph is the highest in the State of Washington. I'd try the 85 mph if the conditions were right.

No doubt in my mind - "The Man Who Loves Women" was written for and about George Harrison. The "Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" is a very old depression era song perfect for uke, and George's version is great. I bought my first uke because of Tom's song and now I have a couple of them. They're fun!

Yeah, I had a Casino a while back, but traded it and some cash for a high end Telecaster. I'm totally a Telecaster fanatic now, but I miss that Casino. I will get another one at some point.

Total hip replacement in July - complete success by they way. I like the new hip so much, I'm doing the other one in about a month.

Work, but home early so my son can have my car so he can go to work. Then pizza for dinner and I'll probably watch the ballgame on the tube tonight while considering the frosty beverage next to me and the guitar in my hands. Multitasking! :003:

I've been lusting after the "Inspired by John Lennon" version of the Casino. In sunburst.

The "F add 9" definitely sounds right for the fade-out at the end. Hammering the "9" on and off as it fades. And I have no doubt that George was right when he said he played "F add 9" at the opening.
It's the rest of the guy's contributions that are typically tossed around. Paul and John are in the mix, and who knows - maybe even George Martin banging out a piano chord. It's a fun discussion that will never be resolved.

Umm.....no. The musical guests might be interesting, but spinning plates and juggling clowns are a thing of the past. I have some of the old Sullivan shows and parts are pretty much embarrassing.

"The Chord" has been discussed to death on just about any Beatles or British Invasion type of message board. There's rarely any agreement on exactly how it was done. Even the explanation on that clip we just watched was disputed by many.
George said it was "F add 9", but for a single guitar, I think this sounds the best.......kind of a mashup of a G7 and a Gsus4. I don't know what the proper name would be Try it!

Old school corded landline. I even have a rotary wall mount phone still in the garage. It's a pain to dial out, but it works.

A complete and utter waste of time and money. I think I read where 1 billion dollars will be spent on the Presidential campaign. This makes me physically ill. Imagine what could be done with that money.

I also like "She Said She Said". After I heard the Knobs do it, I added it to my band's setlist. We played it this weekend.
