I'd have to say my favorite thing is this beautiful 150 year old wall clock that my wife's parents gave us. I love it. We also have a wonderful big oak kitchen table that my Mother gave us many years ago. They're both beautiful pieces, but also special because of who gave them to us.

My wife organized a surprise birthday party for my 40th. I never saw it coming. The band showed up and we played outside for a neighborhood party.

Nurk - too bad the trip wasn't last weekend. You could have gone with your daughter and slipped away to the Arlington Guitar Show. I hear it's one of the best guitar shows in the country, and I know you're a guitar guy.

I rinse and wipe everything by hand and then use the dishwasher pretty much as sterilizer.

My wife and I bought our first home 25 years ago and our second 16 years ago. Before that, I lived in too many to count. We moved constantly when I was a kid. I went to 8 different schools growing up.

I try to never watch live TV - I record everything so I can speed through the commercials. Especially now when there is just non-stop political ads. But I'm also usually doing several things at once.

Play some guitar. Could be loud, angry electric, or soft finger-picked acoustic, or anything in between.

The big deal in Seattle is salmon. In particular, "Copper River Salmon" at a certain of the year. The irony for me is that I've lived here my entire life and I hate salmon. LOL

I have a double front door with arched windows up high. Basically just to let daylight through. They're too high for people to look through.

Tough choice, but I'll go with the Stooges. They still make me laugh out loud. What is it about hitting somebody in the head with a hammer that is so funny. Maybe I need therapy!

I'd say yes, smartphones have changed the world. But, for the better? People are addicted to their phones and I think texting while driving is a huge problem.

We brew by the pot at home, but I have a Starbucks machine at the office.
