Well I keep my work badge in my wallet. Probably looks kind of weird when I turn around and press my butt against the card reader to open the door. LOL

Barbecue. That's an activity, right?

A little OT, but I saw "Sound City" and really enjoyed it. Dave Grohl is a very charismatic guy. Plenty of Tom Petty in that documentary too.
-
My first album ever was "More of the Monkees", and my favorite song back then was "I'm A Believer". I'll stick with that one.

Getting tickets is easy. They're always out there. Just open your wallet and dig deep. Getting a job is no laughing matter, if you need one. I know people that have been, or are out of work for a long time.

New Highway Companion Club Package Announced
TomFest replied to SingsInFrench's topic in Great Wide Open
I see the price went up also, and I didn't see any mention of free stuff, other than 15% off in the gift shop. -
I've been doing ours with one of the on-line services for several years now. Haven't done this year's yet though. I'm still waiting for one tax form that hasn't arrived yet.

I don't like heights. I have no problem with flying, but high up in a building or something? Nope. The other thing that surprised me was the last time I had an MRI. I absolutely friggin' hated that. I've had them before with no problem, but the last time was a nightmare. I can't explain it.

Miss you, Howie!

No regular routine on Saturdays, but this Saturday its off to Mom's and take her to lunch and shopping and whatever else she wants and do some chores around her place. Next Saturday my band is playing.
-
Yes, I've flown from Seattle to Reno, Nevada, and driven to Sacramento, California to see the band.

The thing about festivals is that they're perfect for the band. They can do their "greatest hits" show and nobody complains - because these aren't the fans that have seen the band countless times and are wanting the deep album cuts. Festival goers know the radio hits and that's what they want to hear. But yeah, I want to see the Heartbreakers in a bar. I've been to "The Gorge" enough times.

German Chocolate......or just about anything from Costco. They have awesome cake.
-
I usually don't wear a band t-shirt, but it's cool to spot someone else wearing old shirts from previous tours.

John-Paul, George, and Ringo.... :003:

The previous Pope was in his 50's when selected. But the Pope resigning? It's the most unheard of thing I've ever heard of.

Tom Petty on The Beatles' First Ed Sullivan Appearance
TomFest replied to Rick's topic in Great Wide Open
Mom says we used to watch Sullivan, but I'm sure on that Sunday night at 8:00 pm this little 5 year old was safely tucked away in bed. -
I saw the Picasso exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum about a year ago. Really fantastic to see his works up very close. My favorite painting there I guess was the one of the woman with a cataract. Just amazing to be literally inches from the surface of the paintings and observe the brush strokes and the thickness of the paint and so forth. Really a great experience. Also very interesting to see the way his work changed throughout his lifetime.

I thought the game was great, and I also really enjoyed the half-time show. It was more about dancing and visual effects than music, but I thought it was really well done. The commercials weren't that great this year though. I only liked a couple of them.
-
I liked the Joe Montana one too. "Stain on a stick"!
-
I voted for the Mante Teo one because that whole thing just smells funny. I feel bad for Beyonce. Who cares if she sang to something she pre-recorded. It was spectacular. Girl can sing.
-
I'll go take Mom out for lunch tomorrow. Sunday I'll be watching the Super Bowl somewhere. Not sure where just yet.
-
I put "no" just because you can't call what I was trying to do "drumming". Guitar is my weapon of choice.

Rock the Dogs Announces Club House Contest Raffle!

Wow - amazing story Amber, and great pictures! There are times when I wish I lived in L.A., and this is one of them. -
$99 from the Allman Brothers website, but yeah that's kind of high. There is a lot of cool stuff in there, but I already have a lot of it too.
