It's a good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll record-Mojo Preview
NightDriver replied to SingsInFrench's topic in Great Wide Open
Did I say hooray for Ryan Ulyate yet? I believe I did... Thanks for posting the article - it was pure sugar in my morning coffee!! -
Absolutely gorgeous! I could listen to that for Thirteen Days in a row...

Definitely "I Should Have Known It" (for its Zep feel and Tom's great vocals) and "First Flash Of Freedom" (for its psychedelic feel and its versatility). I dig all of the songs, actually. Especially because the overall atmosphere is different to all former Heartbreakers albums. Mojo is everything but a "tread-water" album. More like a "new horizon" album.

Great!! Thanks SLQ! Can't wait to get my hands on this!! I love Ryan Ulyate for his BluRay-philia! -
^That's exactly the way I feel - mp3 just makes everything sound so flat and blurry.

^He just seems so lost and fidgety without an instrument on stage. Actually, I think it's the first time I ever saw him without one - on "Oh Well" at least he had his maracas. He did look much better when he picked up the tambourine later during "I Should Have Known It".
-
^Yeah, he reminded me of this guy:

^ Absolutely! ^^ Well, Dana, it's about time you came over to the farm. There's no better place to call yourself a site supporter!

^ I second that.

Nice to hear from her. Just yesterday, I was wondering whether everything was fine with her and Tom - after listening to "Good Enough" and "I Should Have Known It", for a moment I was a bit sceptical. On the other hand, I guess that's what a good lyricist can do to you...
