  1. I was thrilled to see that you could buy Little Girl Blues as well as the 3 videos without purchasing the whole album. Did just that!

Knebworth and Nightdriver--let me know if you still need the song!

    :)

    Thanks, dreamgirl!

I have taken on the quest of installing iTunes and a payment account (since iTunes Germany don't support PayPal and iTunes USA don't support a German PayPal account :009:) and then have bought the bonus track and the two videos (they are offering I Should Have Known It and Good Enough only over here).

So, I'm fine over here - thanks again for you kind offer!!! :)

  2. The BluRay arrived on Saturday (again, we're treated with an early release) and I listened to the 5.1 mix yesterday.

The sound quality and the mix are absolutely stunning to say the least. You can hear so many nuances, Ben's keyboard playing is everywhere in the room, Ron's Bass is so warm and pleasant...

My favorite right now is Trip To Pirate's Cove...it resonates in the room so perfectly...

I can't thank Ryan Ulyate enough for bringing this out in 5.1 (and of course for his perfect engineering) and I really really hope many music fans will appreciate it, too.

I read a comment by Ryan recently; he said, if there is a market for BluRay audio, he will try and put out Tom's back catalog on this format. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

  3. "Let Yourself Go" doesn't really rock my boat. The lyrics are cool though...

Does anybody else feel that "Good Enough" doesn't really belong where they put it, after "Something Good Coming"? I mean, SGC really is the last song to me. Plus, "Good Enough" is in 3/4 time just like SGC. Really not typical for them to put two songs in 3/4 time together...

  4. The only issue I have with the setlists I have seen is that they are playing "Oh Well" and "Mystic Eyes" again, like last tour. They always play covers so well, that it's disappointing they wouldn't pick a couple new ones for a new tour.

    Agreed!

I guess we need another Fillmore session. Heck, I'd even fly in from Germany for that! :)

  5. I guess it really is like Marion put it - if you're not much into the bluesy, rootsy music, then you won't like Mojo that much.

My fiancee isn't crazy about it, and she doesn't like the Buried Treasure shows either. That's why I believe in the strong correlation between Mojo and the radio shows.

Blues didn't always appeal to me, mind. But the BT shows opened my mind for it, made me see how strong this music can be and how powerful it can be on the soul if you let it work on you. That's why -to me- Mojo is the perfect album at the moment. It combines the music I enjoy hearing most right now with my favorite artist and band.

I love the sound of Mojo and how I can find other artists in the sound of it (RMB - The Animals, FFOF - The Allmans, ISHKI - Led Zeppelin, TMT - Muddy Waters...), but I can absolutely and totally understand anybody who doesn't dig it. That's why life is so beautiful - freedom of thought and opinion.

I do feel bad for the_refugees, there's little worse than being a devoted fan (with his own tribute band, too) who's disappointed by his favorite artist's new longplayer.

Hope the album grows on you, though, t_r!
