  1. @MJ - No, not first row, "just" up-front. First and second row were already taken when I was booking. Probably blocked in someone's basket.

I still keep reading the booking confirmation mail. Still can't believe it!

When was the last time the band toured Europe? I know it's been a long wait...is it 1990?

^what MJ said. The only time I saw the band live was in March 1992, in Frankfurt. I still have the tour shirt, but it must have shrunk. Can't be any other reason it doesn't fit that well any more... ;)

  2. Honestly, It's a lot of money, but I'm fine with 122 bucks max.

I paid 99 EUR for the AC/DC Black Ice tour and was about a mile away from the stage.

And a couple of years ago, the Eagles played Mannheim and charged 160 EUR per ticket in that category. Which I didn't pay.

    So basically, "overpriced" is relative.

  3. "I SURVIVED 2012 EUROPEAN TOUR TICKET PRESALES MADNESS" :)

    That was fast, wasn't it?

I thought presales wouldn't begin THAT soon!

    Here's my story:

On tompetty.com, there was a statement that said, "Highway Companions Club members will have access to special presales to purchase tickets for most shows". Now, before I finally joined HCC I wanted to know if the presales arrangement would aply to the German concerts. So I wrote an email last Wednesday and got an answer that didn't help me in any way. Probably my answer wasn't precise enough, so I wrote a more detailed mail. No answer came, so I didn't join HCC.

Then the big tour date announcement was made, presales for Mannheim was supposed to start in January 2012.

So I didn't join HCC, the Twitter session was more present at the time.

This morning, we had our annual works meeting, starting at 8 a.m. local time. I had my smartphone with me, but didn't keep my mailbox up-to-date. Then, at around 10:30 a.m. local time, it was the the union guy's turn to bore us into oblivion, so I checked my mails.

And, holy crap, there the announcemant was that presales for the German concerts had started at 10 a.m.!!!

I rushed out of the meeting (190 pairs of eyes on me), ran to my computer, joined HCC in a hurry, and -beads of sweat on my brow and too much adrenaline in my blood- ordered up-front-tickets for Hamburg, Cologne and Mannheim.

My blood pressure is starting to go down now that it's 4 p.m. over here...

    What a morning...

Did any other German farmers get tickets?

    P.S.: I DID!!!! YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! :043: :041: :026: :b55: :109: :sun_smiley:
