Pettyjunkie....If your dad went to a medical professional, he could get some help. There are a lot of medications available for people with mental illness.. Sounds like he could use some therapy too. If he doesn't have insurance, tell him to try a local clinic... It can change his life and his relationships with his family.I think he's faking it, I wouldn't put it past him. It's most likely one of his attention grabbing scenes he pulls when he doesn't get his way. I don't know all the details of his "illness" but he does indeed need therapy. Thanks for the advice though.
