  1. Your pictures are beautiful Beth - brings back memories - I love the Kensington area as well. I haven't been there in some time but my favorite part was roaming the city on foot. So much to discover. I hope you had a great time and can't wait to see more.
  2. Pumpkin you are so adorable! (I mean that as in pretty - not like childish adorable - lol) I LOVE your dress and you guys make a great looking couple. Looks like you had a good time. Always nice to put a face to a screen name.
  3. I wonder how hot it will get today. They say 100+.....
  4. We did have a gardener but had to stop using him ^ in an effort to cut expenses....now my husband does it and I kind of like it because it gets us all outside to help him while he is doing it.
  5. If it's genuine happiness, I don't mind.
  6. what I wish I could listen to, but I don't have XM - my husband does in his car, so he gets to hear it. lottery ticket
  7. I HATE when I turn into Chatty Cathy. lol. There are certain times when I wish I would just shut up.
  8. I love planning our summer vacation.... yay.
  9. I don't think I have a least favorite but if I am going to choose, I guess Let Me Up, I've Had Enough - although I really love some songs on there, especially Runaway Trains....it's not in any of the top ones I'll reach for when I want to listen to a TPATH cd.
  10. I would like to think that I would get up early, go for a run, make a nice breakfast and maybe go to the beach or something like that? But, I would probably sleep in, stuff something in my mouth and sit on the computer. lol.
  11. Pumpkin, so glad to hear you had a good time last night! I was thinking about you and wondering how it was going. Welcome back Beth! I can't wait to hear about it too.....
  12. 1. Would you return to high school life for a week? Why or why not? (If you're currently in high school, would you redo your experiences in high school so far?) The only reason I would want to is to see some of my friends 2. What is/was your favorite subject in high school? Art - Psychology - Creative Writing 3. What is/was your favorite high school hangout? What do/did you do there? Oh it would either have been the football games, a place called Turnbull Canyon (where like Magnolia, we would drink Boones Farm and makeout... ) or at someone's house for a party 4. Who are/were your favorite three teachers in high school? I only really had one favorite - Mr. Moore - he was my English creative writing teacher. 5. What was the craziest thing you did in high school? Loaded question! :003: Honestly, I can't remember off the top of my head but I know we did plenty of crazy things...we just were bad Catholic school girls. hehe hehe.... 6. Take this quiz - Who Were You In High School? You Were the All American Kid Popular but not plastic. Athletic but not a jock. Smart but not a brain. You were well rounded and well liked in high school.
  13. Probably yes - I have always thought it would be interesting to live in another culture. I bet I would miss home but I think I would be up for the experience.
  14. I don't think Don Henley and Mike Campbell are going to have a problem at all and hopefully will do well with it. If he didn't try licensing it at all - not even a cumpolsory mechanical license (where you don't actually have to get permission from the pub/master holders - although he probably wouldn't have been granted a cumpolsory license anyway - it's complicated) that pretty much means that the guys can not only cease and desist but also put their own price on compensation. Too bad it has to go to court (for Don and Mike's sake) but the guy sounds like an idiot. Within my travels, I used to do all kinds of music licensing (synch, master, mechanical) and aside from artists, at one point did it for major game show themes like Price Is Right and Family Feud...and Baywatch (don't laugh).. but we used to go after people all the time for using it without permission. Everyone still seems to think music is free and don't seem to care about the artists who created it.
  15. I am going to echo Patty because my experience is the same. I had heard Breakdown, American Girl prior but when I got Damn the Torpedoes...I fell in love. After that, I rushed out and bought the first two and didn't stop listening.... but I do have to say that Hard Promises and Long After Dark mean a lot to me. Just that whole time period - growing up and being a TPATH fan - reminds me of really good times.
  16. (((Pumpkin))) I am so very sorry about your grandma!
  17. I wonder what goes through the person's mind who does your hair when you say to them "I love the color you did last time, let's do that again - maybe even a little lighter" and then you walk out with darker hair than when you first came in. lol! Oh well. I can live with it.
  18. ^ me too. I wish that I was in Indio at Coachella. I didn't pay any attention to it this year.
  19. Ha! Sadly it happens quite often. I work for someone who doesn't even realize he's doing it sometimes. Or at least that's what I tell myself. I swallow his remarks because I need that paycheck. It sucks. UGH. WWYDI someone spilled beer ALL OVER you at the beginning of a concert you had been dying to go to?
  20. I had a dream last night that Mudcrutch went on tour but I think it was because I read this thread earlier in the day. That would be awesome.....
  21. ^ thanks everyone - she made it through great and so now I wish her a speedy, speedy recovery....
  22. 1. How neat are the clothes you wear? Do you iron? Fold them promptly? Pull them out of the dirty laundry? Not too bad but I don't iron them, I either hang them up right away or fold them right away out of the dryer. 2. How do you make your bed? Hospital corners? All over the floor? Or somewhere in between? Definitely not hospital corners! Just kinda...make it. Everything else in the room can be a mess, but the bed has to be made. 3. Do you leave dirty dishes in your dishwasher? In the sink? On the counters? In other rooms? All of the above except in other rooms, that drives me crazy. We try to keep the counters/sink cleared but if not, I eventually load the dishwasher - usually after dinner. 4. Are your floors clean enough to eat off of or is there an old science experiment growing in the corner? Well...I wouldn't eat off our floor....but I haven't seen any little science experiments lurking about. It's a tile floor and we have one of those steam cleaners that we use on it, pretty much every day or so. 5. How clean is the outside of your car? How about the inside? Is there junk in your trunk? Outside is fine. Inside is another story. I have two kids under the age of 10. That pretty much sums it up.
