I know I should be and on one level I am content. I know I am fortunate to be able to stay home to care for my son and my other kids. This is not the life I would have wanted for myself given the chance to have 'do-overs'. We all have regrets but can't live in them.

I just sucked down my one alotted Cadbury Creme egg...love it-although it makes my teeth curl and a tiny part of me want to vomit afterwards.

Mandy is such a sad song. My mom still can't listen to it. My grandpa was in the hospital dying (I think in '74 or so) and Barry Manilow was on TV singing that song.
I like many of Barry's songs (tv jingles included)...guilty pleasures??

This is sick. With the cost of medical equipment, though, I can see why all someone saw was a $ sign when they saw the wheelchair. Griffin's wheelchair/stroller (not even a heavy duty chair) cost almost $5000. I would hope the familiy's homeowner's or vehicle insurance would cover the cost of a new chair (just a thought but in reality probably not an option).

As for me, my family and my friends are what keep me from going back in that tunnel. Funny thing is, I always knew there was a light at the end, it just took some time to see it.One of my favorite singer/songwriters, Michael McDermott, has the line in one of his songs:
'They say that there is a tunnel, at the end of the light...'

Yes, there are days I just want to run away from it all. Sometimes you just need to cry and have that pity-party...then it is time to realize that my children rely on & deserve to have a mom that puts their needs ahead of my wants. (A few drinks with good friends can help too!)

Don't put your coffee mugs in the dishwasher. I have a Stevie Nicks mug that came with instructions not to. Part of the logo still chipped off-- handle with care!
