Happy Belated Birthday! I hope you had a great day.

Beth, your pictures are so good and beautiful. I truly enjoyed looking at those. You are so lucky to live so close to NYC and get to experience so many things there.

It snowed 8 inches in Virginia where I live and more in surrounding areas. I am not particularly fond of snow and the roads being hazardous; so I don't getting as excited about snow as you do Pankie. I am more a fan of warm Spring and Fall days.

Hope you have had a very Happy Birthday!

I like certain songs on Julianne Hough's Christmas album and Leanne Rimes' Christmas album so I put those plus a certain TP Christmas song and Eagles' Please Come Home for Christmas to make my own Christmas compilation album.

Marion, thanks so much for all the commentaries. I truly appreciate you capturing that for us to keep. I think I will compile the comments with each song like some of you have already done--that is a great idea.

1. How often do you get sick with a cold? The flu? Once or twice a year
2. Are you the sort of person who goes to work or school no matter how sick you are or are you willing to stay at home when it gets bad? If I feel really bad, I will stay home.
3. How do you treat a cold? What remedies do you like and why? I have a lot of allergies which compound colds, so I usually take allergy pills and Ibuprofen.
4. What do you do to keep from getting sick in the winter? Vitamin C and Flu Shot
5. What is your favorite thing to do when you have to stay home from work or school? If I feel like it, I would watch television (definitely General Hospital) or a concert video.
6. Take this quiz - What Vitamin Are You?
You Are Vitamin C
You are responsible and good at taking care of yourself. Your health comes first.
As far as you're concerned, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
It's likely you eat well, exercise frequently, and avoid stress.
And because of this, you're quite healthy and free from illness.

Wish I had seen this sooner--I have already missed the first half hour. The Comcast Guide says it will come on again tonight at 2 a.m.
A Paul McCartney special is suppose to be on Thanksgiving night on ABC (I think at 10 p.m. EST).

Thanks Weird Monkey for posting about the CBS Sunday Morning appearance.

I agree Nurk--this boxset is great. Thanks so much to Tom, Benmont, Mike, Steve, Ron, and Scott for sharing their talents, providing outstanding concerts, and wonderful music with us for so many years; and I hope they continue to do this for us for many more.

TomFest, does your Windows 7 have the restore feature that you can use if something goes wrong and you want it to go back several days like XP allows you to and then set your computer back to when it worked correctly to fix the problem. I hope that made sense.
-
Nurk, did you install it on your computer; and if so, what is the backup program like on Windows 7? I had XP on my old computer and loved the restore feature on it. I bought a new computer with the unfortunate OS of Vista which is a pain. Since I am not savvy on every change with Microsoft, the only way I could figure out to backup stuff was on CDs which I find annoying since the section for backup on the computer keeps filling up. After encountering Vista and the new Microsoft Office 7 (which has all the menus all mixed up), I think someone at Microsoft wanted to see how miserable and frustrated they could make users feel.

Being too hot is really irritating to me and for some reason I can get physically sick with a headache in extreme heat.

Informal--casual dress
3. What time do you eat? Do you go more for a brunch/lunch or a dinnertime celebration? Around 4 p.m.
4. What traditions do you observe? Just a traditional turkey dinner
5. What are you doing for the Friday after the holiday this year? I would like to avoid going shopping, but I will probably see something advertised at a good price that I would like to give as a gift.
