I hate that I won't get to see TP&TH now since the postponement. I almost cried in Kroger's when they played Breakdown this afternoon.

First Part Tom Petty & Heartbreakers Tour Re-Routed
HeartbreakerFan replied to Refugee's topic in The Waiting
I still think poor ticket sales had something to do with this postponement. I looked at some other artists ticket prices at Charlotte--Rascal Flatts and Dave Matthews were around $75 (and I am guessing you have to add on service charge of around $18-$20). This is not quite as steep as $131 for TP plus service charge to around $150 a person. I think I looked at Tim McGraw tickets at some other venue and I think they were only around $75 also. I wonder how Mr. Plant's tickets will sell on his Band of Joy tour--I noticed they were around $150 (in Texas) too which I think is pretty steep for a band you have never heard before. -

I think some of you might be correct about poor ticket sales, because I just went to the venue I was going to attend. You can still get tickets in one of the front 3 sections. I honestly thought the tickets were priced way too high for the economic situation, and I had decided this would probably be last concert for TP because he has priced himself out of what I want to pay to see a concert. I know this isn't NASCAR, but they have had to actually lower ticket prices this year and offer packages on tickets so their fans could afford to come. Some of the groups that tour might want to consider cutting back on extravagant setups and offer their fans more affordable tickets. WROV, the Roanoke rock station, had actually been advertising for the two concerts in North Carolina and were actually giving away tickets. I, too, hope that no band member is having medical problems or have a family matter that they have to attend to at this point in time. -
First Part Tom Petty & Heartbreakers Tour Re-Routed

I didn't get a chance to check the site yesterday. Tonite I probably will not sleep. I can't believe this! I, too, have a hotel room that they will not refund--$100 just flew out the window. I had to take a day from work--screwed there now. I can't go to the rescheduled September date in Charlotte. I feel so badly for those of you that had airline tickets, etc. and will lose money there too. Has anyone gotten a refund yet? Is the best way to call or fill out that form on Ticketmaster? I am so depressed! -

1. Are you a "morning" person? Yes 2. What part of the morning is your least favorite? Why? Probably attempting to getting somewhere on time 3. Do you use an alarm clock to wake up in the morning? If you do, when the alarm clock first goes off, do you get up immediately, or do you reach over and hit that snooze button? Yes I use an alarm clock, and I reach over and hit the snooze button at least once. 4. Do you sleep with the television or radio on? I can't sleep with the television or radio on. 5. Take the quiz: What Part of the Morning Are You? You Are the Alarm Clock You don't have much of an opinion on mornings. No matter whether you like them or hate them, you have to get up. Your mornings tend to be a bit of a rushed affair. You have to be out the door by a certain time, and you have to hustle. You are not a big fan of wasting time, and the morning is no exception. You have a lot to get done, and it's time to get cracking. It's fair to say that you're on autopilot during the wee hours of the day. You have mornings down to a science. 6. Is there any day(s) of the week that you get to sleep in later than normal? Sometimes I sleep a little later on Saturdays and Sundays. __________________

Robert Plant to preview new album on summer tour
HeartbreakerFan replied to Refugee's topic in Anything That's Rock N Roll
Does anyone know if any of the members of this "new" Band of Joy were in the original lineup except Robert? I don't recognize any of the names as being in Robert's first band. I don't understand how you can revive a band when you are the only original member--seems you would have to have a couple of the original members. LizzieB I hope you get to go and report on this occurrence. -
1. Do you experience any seasonal allergies? Are you allergic to anything else? Yes, I am allergic to pollen, dust, some foods, cigarette smoke, etc. 2. What kinds of symptoms do you experience during your allergic reactions? Headaches, watery eyes, stuffy nose, sometimes scratchy throat and infected ears 3. How do you manage your allergies? (ie: medication, avoidance, alternative therapies, etc) Medication and avoidance if possible 4. What is the strangest allergy you've ever heard of? I don't guess it is an actual allergy, but I get migraines sometimes when the barometric pressure or a weather front moves through. 5. How do you feel about people who wear strong perfumes, and or colognes? I cannot stay around them, because I will get a migraine and get sick on my stomach. 6. Take the quiz - What Does Your Nose Say About You? What Your Nose Says About You It's likely that you'll be lucky with money, though this luck may come later in life. You are impulsive and tend to follow your heart. You are helpful and giving. You like cooperating, and you're always willing to lend a hand. You are a realist. You aren't much of an optimist or a pessimist.

I hope some of you get to go. Please share a review and pictures if they allow you to take some. I love Sara's voice. I saw some pictures of Sara, Sean, and Benmont backstage at the LA Bluegrass Situation where WPA played on March 18 with special guests Jackson Browne and Gillian Welch. I suppose it is good I don't live near a lot of the venues they play--I would probably spend way too much on live entertainment. I thought these pictures that Sean sent out on Twitter were really good of Benmont. Pic 1 Pic 2 -

I still think it is so pretty--I wasn't into the Smurfs so I don't see what some of you do.
