There has to be a new album soon
martin03345 replied to Matt of Constant Sorrow's topic in Great Wide Open
No it's been 6 years. The solo album doesn't come close to counting seeing as only Tom and Mike worked on it. And I don't think they've written anything for it yet at all -
So it's the Raconteurs and Alison Mosshart basically?

I saw they were having an intense debate over at the official boards about how some people are upset how they never give the fans any news on what their status and current doings are which I will admit can be frustrating at times
-
Yes, yes, yes. The fact that the money AIG was given is being used on something so frivolous is ridiculous in of itself
-
Well I think that was to be expected. Mike and Ben worked on Bob's album, Ben has an album coming out with the Work Progress Administration and a few shows are sure to happen so I think it was safe to say a summer European tour was out of the question

I don't know how many people here at the farm are Wilco fans but personally I am one and love the music they have made. On April 18th, they are releasing a live DVD concert which should be really great named after a track off their 2002 Yankee Hotel Foxtrot album. http://wilcoworld.net/news/index.php Can click on the picture to see the trailer of the live video.

Was gonna say hope it wasn't Bright Eye's live cover of it because that was bad
-
Happy Belated Bday Matt, hope it was a good one

Linda that is a great choice seeing as that song has been in my head the past few days as well

I know Flower. Perfect weather for my 2 hour drive back to college from spring break. Actually seems nice to be back
-
Grilled salmon. Love it, absolutely love it
-
None really. Like others have said, anything in excess is probably bad and just intolerable

Welcome Mystery Man, enjoy your time here at the farm

Almost never. College has made me have to be attached to it

It'd be nice to see them do a European show but if they dig in their catalog like they should have the past few tours then next time back in the USA and Canada they better do the same!

I would so love to take a class on the Beatles or any music like that really My friend is a music major had to listen to Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie for 2 straight classes and he complained how awful it was while I was just thinking what a lucky bastard to be able to sit their and analyze the music

Yeah George, Mike and Pete are all slow but so what. They have more humble solos and more melodic one's than go off in a tangent of speed and sound that has nothing to do with what's going on. They can rock hard and play fast if they wanted to like Slash or Clapton but it's just a matter of choice and it's great to see they make their solos very melodic and fitting to what's going on

5 to 10 years. My Neon right now is basically a metal death trap

What's the Frequency Kenneth is a great R.E.M song.

Happy Bday Smokey. Hope you got a nice bone or something:)

I feel so screwed with all the work I have to do before spring break. Working on this paper due Friday for my political science course that is a response to a movie that I only got to see half of, have a book I have to ready by Wednesday, have a test next Friday which will be hard more than likely, a quiz this Friday on the NY Times which for some reason I'll always botch and have to outline 2 macro economic chapters this weekend and be ready for a quiz on it on Tuesday. I hate to complain but damn that's hectic

Happy Birthday George, we love you and miss you dearly
