Should I get a facebook? My sister and Melissa have me almost convinced. But I'm still not sure...

1. What is the most successful “home remedy” that you use, and how did you first discover it? I guess a damp washcloth put in the freezer for a while. It works on whatever ails you! Headache, bruise, scrape, whatever, its magic.
2. Do you ever use sugar or salt substitutes? If so, which brand names do you use? yes, sugar substitues. I'll use whatever, but I only put it in coffee. I just tried Truvia - it's really good!
3. How often do you go shopping just to window shop, with no intention of actually buying anything? Almost never. Does online shopping count? I go online browsing all the time.
4. How often in those shopping trips do you actually end up buying something anyway, whether you needed it or not? I try not to. If I do buy something, I would have already had to convince myself that I DO need it!
5. Take this quiz - How Do You Travel Through Life? You Walk Through Life
Your journey through life is steady, conventional, and calm.
You're likely to stop and smell the roses every chance you get. Your life is simple but bountiful.
You believe that it's important to have good morals. You always do your duty, and work comes before play.
You value stability at home and at work. You do your part to smooth things over the best you can.
I guess that sounds about right. Considering the crazy job I have in this insane industry, I guess I balance out. Yin and Yang.
6. What would you most like to have or own by the end of 2010? A Chevy VOLT. But, it will not happen for me until about the end of 2011 or 2012. But I will get one!

Commute & take a nap. Call Verizon, call dad (about Verizon!) work until 7pm, commute home and maybe finish my book, cook dinner, clean cat litter boxes, put the garbage & recycling out on the curb, fold the laundry in the dryer and put it away, pack breakfast & lunch for tomorrow, knit a little on my sweater, watch American Pickers, try to go to bed before 1am! (Very thankful today is a quiet normal day, I'm so tired from 2 concerts last week!)

1. What did you eat for dinner on Thursday? A sandwich from Wawa (I got home late)
2. When you get mad, are you more likely to yell, throw things, or give the silent treatment? Yell.
3. Who was the last person that really made you smile? Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
4. What plans do you have for the weekend? Go see TPATH again in Philly tomorrow. First spend some time in the pool. Grocery store, clean the house, watch True Blood on Sunday.
5. Friday fill in: Thank you to the universe for this weekend and for everyone at work being back from vacation.

Today I watched President Obama on the View. And at one point in the show he said the word "mojo". I yelled out "the President just said MOJO!" and everyone in my office laughed at me. I thought it was awesome. I'm just tired, I got home late last night after the show.

No one has ever done my shopping for me. I have "gone shopping" at my parents house before, does that count?

is this question just about makeup? I took it to mean whether you needed other people to do things for you, or if you did them yourself. I take care of other people's needs more than I have other people take care of my needs, so I'll say I'm low maintenance. I mostly take care of myself, and still have time to deal with certain high-maintenance people in my life.

1. You go to a restaurant and order a cocktail, what cocktail will you be ordering? If you are not of age, what would you be ordering to drink? Frozen margarita! I love that boozy-slurpee kind of thing.
2. You must select a new private physician. You find out that the new doctor is only in his/her twenties, would you feel any less confident about his/her ability? Yes. I know that's not fair, but my doctors have always been grandfatherly-types, and put a lot a faith in plain old common sense. I feel more comfortable with that philosphy, rather than new drugs.
3. A citizen of the United States must be 35 years old or older to run for President. Based on arguments about experience, should the age be increased to 50? No. Age doesn't equal experience.
4. Take this quiz - What Age Do You Act?
27!!!
5. When you were in high school, what age, in your opinion, qualified someone as being “old?” Age is just a number. I thought that "old" was retired with nothing better to do than bitch & complain. That can be applied to people of any age!
6. Who do you find yourself relating to better? People older than you or younger than you? I can camp out at music festivals and ride roller coasters all day with crazy teenagers, but I would have to say I relate better to people older than me. I don't understand the attraction to "online" life of younger people (no twitter or Facebook for me!), and I have serious objections to 20-somethings and their "entitlement" attitudes about work. I see them getting away with more and more nonsense, and those kinds of ideas never even entered my brain when I was their age! (I'm a young-ish GenXer and I work with almost nothing but spoiled rotten Millenials. I was slaving away as an unpaid intern while they wee still in Jr High!)

Yes. It was my bed/couch for 4 years in my studio apartment. I kept it as a couch in my next apartment, now its the guest bed in my house. My cats are probably sleeping on it right now.

1. What's your favorite game show to watch? I don't really watch any.
2. What game show would you like to be a contestant on? Cash Cab
3. Do you know anyone who has been on a game show? Yes, a guy I work with was on the MTV game show "Remote Control"
4. What do you think the worst game show is/was? The one with the whammies. I don't remember the name!
5. Who is your all time favorite game show host? Ben Bailey on Cash Cab

I can't decide between Mulder or Scully. Fox Mulder would be delightful to look at all the time, but I think he would get me in trouble or abducted by aliens or some crazy person if he was my partner. I think Scully is much smarter and she's really a pro at getting Mulder out of trouble, so I think I would want her to have my back. But Fox Mulder would be so nice to look at...

I love summer fruit - Cherries, blueberries, watermelon, peaches, nectarines. I guess you can get most of them year-round, but they always taste much better in the summer, especially when they come from NJ!

Just finished reading - The Count of Monte Cristo
Currently reading A Traitor to His Class (bio of FDR)
Want to re-read George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire (4 books...so far) because I am so totally excited about the HBO series coming out next year!

Worried about my shows next week. It seems this tour has been fraught with poor planning, rescheduling, mishaps and flat out danger.
-
never been to another country. So I guess an organized tour. I've been on trips in the US that I've planned myself, that's pretty fun.

1. What LOCAL pizza joint or restaurant serves the best pizza? I'm with Beth about 3 Brothers on the boardwalk! Or Lisa's pizza - for Sicilian.
2. You decide to order some pizza from a national chain
(eg..Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns...etc): which pizza chain are you most likely to order from? I never order that stuff. Sometimes I will go to Pizza Hut for dinner (never my choice, but I will go if other people want it.) I like the veggie lover's pizza there.
3. What’s your favorite pizza from the menu of the restaurant from Answer #1? Plain cheese from both!
4. Which toppings do you not want to see on your pizza? NO MEAT OF ANY KIND! no anchovies, anything else is usually ok, unless there's too many toppings and it all falls off.
5. Take the quiz: What Pizza Topping Are You? I am mushrooms! That's cool.
6. Thin, deep dish, pan, regular? What is your favorite kind of pizza crust? I'm a pizza snob - I only like pizza from the NY area. We call a deep dish pan pizza "sicilian" and that's probably my favorite - the corner pieces!

I still have some old flannel shirts from my grungy days in the 90s - I see kids wearing flannel all the time lately! But trends don't stick around very long nowadays, so they might be out of style already. I'm still keeping those flannels, though.

Let's go, Amy! LOL!Yep, that would be my ideal paradise. In the South Pacific/Fiji Islands in a hut over the water.

Oh, wow! I'm with you guys. I have friend at work who went to Fiji on her honeymoon last year and stayed in one of these hut things. She told me it was fantastic!

In NJ theres almost no such thing as 82 with no humidity. I kep the ac on (thermostat has a climate control/timer thing) and it does its thing. It works pretty good and keeps the electric bill low in the summer. When I sleep at night, I put the ceiling fan on, because the timer kicks the ac off while I'm sleeping. I will only open up the windows when I'm at home, which is like never! I keep them all locked when I'm not there.
