10 Obsessions of 2010 iPhone -nope! Lindsay Lohan I do admit that I laughed at the pictures of her crying in court. iPad nope. “Glee” Guilty. Ever since the "Rocky Horror Glee Show"! “Jersey Shore" Absolutely hate it. I'm a Jersey Shore local and those people are straight up Bennies. Everyone, please, just know that the locals are very different from those people and we mostly hate them! Facebook no. I'm the only person I know who is not on it. Bedbugs horrifyingly disgusting, but not an obsession. Tea Party ^same Silly Bandz no. Stieg Larsson’s “The Girl” not yet, but I might read them someday. I guess I'm pretty unplugged from the rest of the country's obsessions. Here are some things I got very into this year: 1. Netflix instant viewing 2. Oprah's final season 3. new TV show "Raising Hope" on Fox 4. Vanilla Coke Zero 5. "The Walking Dead" on AMC 6. Hula hooping

I know its Thursday, but I have a gripe. I'm so sick of people in other departments "requiring" my department to make accomodations for their holiday party activities. My job is crazy around the holidays anyway, and to add a bunch more details and people and scheduling issues to the mix really pisses me off. Especially when all these holiday parties and gifts and things are for everyone else, and NOT ME or the people who work in my department.

I've never been to a chiropractor, but I think I would try it if I had a problem that I needed help for. (I'm very thankful that I don't have any issues currently!) I really don't like to take medication for pain, so I would try the alternatives first.

Debbie Downer here, I guess. I can't wait until I don't get my stupid download codes and I have to call Fanfire and b!tch them out. Maybe I'll be shocked and surprised and delighted because I'll get them with no problem...probably not. I saw the news that they are available today, and it put me right into a gloomy mood.

Oh, today I feel so old and sad. I was talking to my co-worker and I mentioned something from the movie "Reality Bites" and she said she had never seen it! It came out in 1994 when I was 17 years old, and I think it really captured the 90s Gen-Xer vibe. I haven't thought of that movie in a long time, but I'm sitting here realizing that I really love it. But, she was only 9 years old in 1994 and has no idea about how broke and grungy and smoky and bored the 1990s really were. <sigh> memories....

No and No. I'm not really a Christmas person - its kind of too much and overwhelming. I like to keep things simple, but I never can around Christmas. As far as calling it "Christmas" or "holiday" - I don't really give a care. I think in America Christmas has become its own thing, it really doesn't have much to do with religion. Its kind of impossible not to get caught up in it, no matter what your religious beliefs are.

oh, no! I hope everything is ok. My sister's name is Karen, too, and I just thought of how worried I would be for her if she was in the hospital. Make sure you take care of yourself, too, so you can be there for her. Make sure you eat and sleep and don't get too stressed out.

I agree with research. If I ever get married, it would only be in front of friends and family, not actually legal. I'm not paying anyone alimony!!!

Am I the only one who has to work on Friday??? Geez. My public transportation is sucky, too, so it will be an "arrive early and leave late" day of work - I have no other choice. I count myself lucky for not having to go into the city for work on Thursday.

Once when I was a kid I went on a daytrip from Southeast NJ (Jersey shore!) out west to Lancaster, PA to the Amish country. It was me & my sister, my parents in our car, and my cousins following us in another car. On the way back home, I was being annoying and reading all the signs I saw along the highway out loud (because I was bored). I kept seeing signs that advertised fresh live crabs for sale. My mom thought I was making it up. But then I read out loud a sign that said "Welcome to Delaware" Obviously we were lost!!!

^the problem is, there is no taxpayer money to pay for TSA to train their employees. Should the US hire a private company to handle airport security?

I always thought it was insane that before giving someone a lethal injection, they would wipe the arm with an alcohol swab. What is the purpose of that? To make sure they don't develop an injection-site infection for the last half hour of their lives? I don't know exactly what I think about the death penalty. The "personal" is the "political", and therefore I personally know that I couldn't pull the switch and condemn another person to death, so I guess I would be on the side of against it. But I also don't believe that people should be locked away in prison for the rest of their lives and serve absolutely no purpose to society, all the while eating food, sleeping, showering, and receiving health care that is paid for by taxpayers. Taxpayers that could be struggling to have food, shelter, and health care for themselves. Its a very complicated issue.

WAY too early for Christmas music. I really don't like Christmas songs - but if I had to choose a favorite, I would say "Christmas All Over Again!" Tom Petty, of course. Christmas in Hollis is another one I like, and Elvis, too.

TIL (really last night) that I can crochet snowflakes just like my Nana! Maybe not as perfectly as her, but I am so so so proud of myself!
