  1. TIL what she's been going through at 9am every day. No wonder she can be in a bad mood by the time I come in at 10:30!!! Its good to walk a mile in someone else's shoes from time to time.
  2. I just wrote down the names of the wines that KLG and Hoda were talking about in a segment of the Today show. Those two talk wine a lot!
  3. everything! At my house I have one giant blue plasic bin - a robo can - that I can put all recycling in - junk mail, newspapers, paper, cans, plastic, glass. I feel like its much more convenient when its single-stream like that and there is no need to worry about separating things. I fill that sucker up every week. One thing I haven't worked out yet is the composting, but I'm interested in trying now that my garden is getting awesome.
  4. I love the show "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding" Its amazing the crap I will watch in the summer. Last night it was "Storage Wars!"
  5. I can't believe we got all the way to the end of the party without any family drama. And then at about 5 minutes to midnight, it happened. At least it wasn't me or my sister starting it.
  6. you can get an ipod adapter thing that you stick in the cassette player. I have been considering getting one because my car is a 2001 and it only has a radio/cassette/CD player. I make myself mix CDs a lot, but they always end up on the floor and all scratched. Oh, BTW, I don't know how much music I have on my Ipod because the battery is dead right now. I think its around 2,000-3,000 songs.
  7. Went to college at 18, right after high school and right off a grueling summer of work. Went for 4 years, plus one semester over a summer to pick up some credits. And worked the summer job 3 more summers. Then got a 50-hour/week internship the summer that I graduated college (at 22) and I never left that company. I'm still here working full time and commuting now almost 4 hours/day. The last time I had any time to ponder what I wanted to do with my life, I think I was 16 years old! I've been non-stop 17 years straight.
  8. 18 when I went to college. and I was 26 when I moved back!
  9. Oooh, this is fun!!! It's all about music! Name the music/song that: 1. Reminds you of an ex lover - The demo version of Tom's "Apartment Song" from Playback boxed set. My boyfriend gave me the discs for Christmas that year and we broke up soon after. 2. Reminds you of a close friend hmmm...Zeppelin's "Thank You". Two of my good friends got married (to each other!) in '09, and at the wedding my other good friend played guitar and yet another good friend sang that song during the ceremony. It was such a wonderful thing - I cried my eyes out it was so beautiful and I'll never forget it! 3. Sums up your teenage years Green Day's "Long View" (yeah, I was f-ing lazy!) 4. You wouldn't know about it if not for a friend The Pietasters! 5. Makes you laugh - "Peaches" by The Presidents of the United States of America. Look that video up on youtube if you want to laugh! 6. You like to wake up to Dropkick Murphy's "Barroom Hero" makes me jump right out of the bed.

^^^ Beth, the Aztec in Seaside?? When I was in college I worked right across the boardwalk from there in a game. Had to wear a red polo shirt with a collar every day. That was the only uniform I've ever worn for work.
  11. My father says he named me Kelly after Jacqueline Smith's character on "Charlie's Angels." Weird, I know!
  12. ^^ I know! The last time I had a massive computer hardware problem (my computer would not turn on) I called customer service and they told me that help was available for free online, but to get help over the phone, I had to upgrade and pay a service fee. My computer would not turn on! I whipped out my Kindle and used the free Kindle web browser to access the free online help. It was a pain in the a$$, but its just another reason why I love my Kindle.
  13. I love it! I see at least one thing every day that qualifies as a WTF moment, (I walk through Times Square to get to work) but I have never seen such a large collection of hilarity. The song is catchy, too, its still stuck in my head!
  14. Oh, BOB! You are awesome, I can't believe you are 70 years old!
  15. I had 7 years of Spanish and 2 semesters of Italian in school. I have fallen into "if you don't use it, you lose it!" so all has gone by the wayside. I still can read and comprehend a lot of Spanish, but once people start talking really fast, I get lost. I can still follow along with Sabado Gigante, though! One thing I am excellent at is ordering off menus at Mexican and Italian restaurants. Once I learned all the rules about pronunciation in Spanish and Italian, they stuck like like glue.
  16. working in the garden on Saturday, I got sunburned on my shoulders and the back of my neck. So I am LITERALLY a RedNeck! cracks me up.:003:
  17. man, Oprah was good today. Only 2 left!!!
  18. I'm very disappointed in this post-apocalypitic world. I thought it would be more exciting. Like, there would be a superflu, or zombies, or humans with super powers. Its really boring. I had to get up and come to work today, and it was the same old crap at work, and I have to put gas in my car later because I'm on E. Ho-hum.
  19. To me, it means everything positive.
  20. A saver. I always have money for the big expenditures that I need (and I have had plenty in the last 6 months!) because I save and save.
  21. Holy crap! Tomorrow is the apocalypse!
  22. I guess I'm old. I just said something about the TV show "Night Court" and my co worker said she never heard of it. Then I said that they did something with the cast of Night Court on 30 Rock recently, and didn't she see that? And she said yes, but she thought that was made up. John Laroquette is still awesome.
  23. ^WTF? That's crazy. I can't believe that there are only 4 Oprah shows left! What am I supposed to do at work at 4pm after that? Work?
  24. I love that I live in a place that has wildlife!
