I confess I swore at the tv ths morning when the countdown clock stopped at 31 seconds!!!

I look at lot like my mother. But I'm more like my dad.

My sister and I love to paint - walls and houses. We think we inherited the talent/love from our great-grandfather (who was a housepainter) even though we never knew him. We would get a van and call the business "Two girls & a van"

^watch out for the salps! I finally went to the beach on Saturday and the salps were insane. My 9 year old cousin just was NOT having it, and she made me take her home after only a few hours.

Should I go to the play? I got myself into quite a tizzy this morning lusting after the high of buying a ticket for something. I promised I would cool off until 3pm. It will be a very, very long day if I do decide to go. I've been working so many hours, I don't feel bad about spending the money, but I have been missing my couch.

I'm pretty down on holidays right now. Too much pressure (especially from my work) Doobie Brothers, I'm talking about you! My favorite holiday is one that's all my own. A random Tuesday in August where I take off from work and go to the beach. Or a Springtime Thursday that I stay home and dig up the garden. Or a day that I shop all afternoon and watch movies all night. Holidays are nuts when you work for 24-hour tv.

oh, those Jersey Shore people are nuts. People in other parts of the country who watch that think that all NJ people are like that - loud, rude orange aliens from another planet. There's a difference between locals and bennies - those people are definitely the latter.

I'm hoping for some nicer weather at home in the OC. I haven't been to the beach yet, and I want to buy my NJ state park pass. And I have to mow my new front lawn. One benefit of all this rain I guess, my grass is awesome and my garden is out of this world!

OMG. 1991 really is 20 years ago???? ^thanks for posting that video. I just sat and had a moment watching it. I was there, I'm part of that singing, clapping audience in Gainesville! I'll always have such great memories of 2006, too. It almost makes me forgive the band for the 2010 MOJO-no show tour. Almost.

wow! I was just down that road a few weeks ago going to Great Adventure. Didn't a truck wipe out and smash into a house just a month ago on that road, too? Crazy 571..

one is out sick, never came in. When I get in, the other leaves to go home sick. I'm on my own for 5 minutes and a fire drill starts! So, 4 phones ringing, alarms and lights going off like crazy, today is not starting out well. And i have a sore throat.

Every time I turn on Rachael Ray, it looks like she is cooking up some dog puke. I don't know what it all tastes like, but it looks awful!

I was only 2 or 3. I flew home to NJ from RI. It was a really really short flight, but I think my Nana wanted me to fly just to have the experience.

The smell of the river...the particular river is the Toms. When I was really little my mom took me and my sister to swim in the river almost every day in the summer. (This was before we had air conditioning!) It smells like cedar, and like mud, and also green and cool and kind of sweet, and little bit like the ocean because its so close. Last night when I came home from work, it was raining and storming and I got a huge whiff of the river as soon as I stepped off the bus. And now I live right down the road from where I used to swim when I was little, so in the springtime when the windows are open, I get a nice river-scented breeze through the house.
