Here are a few exterior photos of the Fox Theatre Oakland, California I took last night, June 22, 2016. I didn't take my camera inside though, I prefer to just relax and enjoy the magic... Hope you enjoy.

    Mudcrutch Ticket Rip-Off

I got on LiveNation/Ticketmaster the second Mudcrutch tickets went on sale for the Fillmore in SF. GA tickets were already gone. I wanted to see the show, so I bought the VIP tickets for a whopping $459 for 2. Since then, two things have happened that forced me to request a refund. When I went online many days later and did a search, there were GA tickets available for much less. I suppose more tickets were released later. (This is a blatant rip off) I lost my job on Apr 29, which makes paying a premium for a show not a very smart use of money. I have advertised the tickets on craigslist for $60 below face value just so I don’t have to lose all the money, but the stringent ticket policy makes transferring the tickets impossible. After talking with three different people at LiveNation, getting the run around of how their manager wasn't available, actually doesn't work on a Monday!!! Then The Fillmore says the tickets are non refundable and non transferrable. So, what? I'm out $459 and can't even unload these tickets for below face value???? And to make matters worse, the VIP privileges are really uninspiring and feel like a rip off too, early access to the show (how early, who knows? and special access to merchandise - what, so I can pay even more???) Hey Tom Petty, or your manager... I've been a fan since Breakdown came out, I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on CD's downloads, even have the boxed set...but you are just showing me that you don't give a fuck about your fans. While I appreciate trying to not support scalpers, really, all you're doing here is screwing over a loyal fan. No more Petty for me! Please assist me in obtaining a full refund for the tickets.

    Fillmore June 20th set list

Barry, sadly no, I didn't make any other shows. But I feel very blessed and satisfied with my Fillmore experience. It was truly AMAZING in every way! I was almost starting to lose hope and then yet another Tom Petty Miracle happened when I won the tickets through HCC!!! Still glowing in the aftermath! Can't wait to see your photo of the marquee.

    Fillmore June 20th set list

The set list above looks accurate to me for June 20 in terms of the songs listed, although I don't recall the order in the middle of the set. I was really hoping they would play Beautiful Blue as well - that's my only disappointment from the show. Otherwise, it was fantastic.

    Fillmore June 20th set list

See what I mean jelly beans. I was at the 19th also and there was no High School Confidential. What I can't believe he's not playing is Beautiful Blue. IMO that's the best song off that album. like to hear him do That Date I had With The Ugly Homecoming Queen too. First time I heard that was that 20 night run he did at the Fillmore in 97 Kind of disappointed in the same exact set lists the whole tour. But it was killer. Spent the 20th wandering around soaking up some of that Fillmore vibe. Uncle Bobo was the best for 35 years and might still be if he had just driven home instead. And setlist fm only shows 7 songs for Oakland but I'll bet I can guess what the others are.

Thank you Babydoll - you're a...real doll! I definitely didn't remember them playing "High School Confidential" and your confirmation of that fact eases my mind. Did you go last night to the Fox Oakland, Babydoll? I was there, it was another awesome Mudcrutch show, and really cool hearing & seeing them in such a beautiful and historic theatre. Tom Leadon even commented on "your beautiful auditorium" at one point. And, they ABSOLUTELY did NOT play "High School Confidential"! (ha ha)... P.S. I'll upload some pix of the Fox marquee later on.

    Mudcrutch Ticket Rip-Off

Pretty common. I bet someone would be willing to pay face value the day of the show.

    Mudcrutch Ticket Rip-Off

Even though you can't officially "transfer" the tickets, you can sell them on Craigslist, go to the Fillmore to pick them up from Will Call under your own name, then give them to the buyer. I've seen this happen a few times for TPATH's Will Call shows. The only time this probably would NOT have worked was at the 2008 Mudcrutch Troubadour shows. They did not hand out tickets for these shows, just had a list of attendees and checked off names as people went in. (With the size of the Fillmore, I can't imagine they would do it in this way. The Troubadour is tiny.) If that doesn't work, it might not hurt to call Ticketmaster (800-653-8000) and plead your case, focusing on the job loss aspect. They may be able to submit a "loss form" on your behalf. I bought a ticket to the Mudcrutch Northridge show and was much too sick to attend. I am still working on this, but I'm optimistic that I will get a refund even though I didn't buy ticket insurance.
