Question of the day 8/15/12

What is your favorite "Luxury" dinner at a high end restaurant?

Gosh, I have no idea. Going out to eat is not something I do regularly. We do go out for pizza on Date Night....but it is just something we don't enjoy doing that much. I do like going out to eat when I am traveling....but food is not the big thing for me. I know some people really enjoy it, though...

So I guess I will say I really enjoyed the Formal Tea I had at Harrod's in London and also the champagne dinner a dear friend treated us all to at Northall, also, in London.

Here are some photos from our dinner. It was so delicious!!

It would depend on the specialties of the restaurant I'm at.

Easy. The filet mignon at Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue, Washington. Best steak I ever had. No contest. Not cheap though. Dinner and drinks for my wife and I was over $200.

I'd go with "Surf 'n Turf", filet mignon and lobster tail.

Most likely it would be a thick juicy high quality rib-eye steak with grilled prawns.

Definitely a surf and turf dinner. Best I ever had was at a place in St. Croix, OMG!

For luxury, I go for Lobster. Best dinner & service I've ever had has to be at Le Cirque in Las Vegas this past January. I wrote about it on my blog....

We don't go out fancy. I'm not a huge fan of steak or lobster. Just give me a bourbon on the rocks and a great burger.

My favorite "high end" restaurant would be Tellers in Lawrence, Kansas. I love trying new things and I try something different every time I go there. Last time it was buttermilk marinated wood fired chicken with spinach scallops potatoes. OMG! It was to die for!

^ Mmm, love Teller's!
Around here, my favorite high end restaurant is an Italian place in Encinitas, I Trulli.
I love the Caprese salad they serve (with real mozzarella), and a delicious pasta with olive oil and garlic. It's sooo good, with a glass of red wine.
