Hello there,

I am getting nowhere here, I try to close the (help me understand TP) thread I started because I got my answer...

Can anyone tell me how ?

Thanks

You need to get a moderator to do it. Members don't have the ability.

Hi, maybe somebody will have some insight to add so we can leave it open unless you really want it closed. :)

Hi, It depends how you want the threads to be handled. If you leave everything open you have the risk too have too many going. In some forums the moderators want to have a specific mark as a sign that the originator considers his question as answered. I imagine here you wait until the thread has not been activated for some time before closing. It might be interesting to give some hint in the general faq.

Just as a matter of curiosity how does your hierarchy work at Mudcrutch Farm ? From fan how does anyone become a die-hard fan, roadie etc ? You Ryan as the (from what I gathered) creator of the site are only die-hard fan which seems strange.. does it depend on the number of threads posted or some level of proficiency in site-handling ?

Everyone gets treated the same here. nobody is better than anyone else and just because i run the site doesn't mean anything.

here are the user titles:

# of Posts / Title
0-100 / Fan
100-500 / Die-Hard Fan
500-2000 / Groupie
2000+ / Heartbreaker

In some forums the moderators want to have a specific mark as a sign that the originator considers his question as answered.all questions in OUT IN THE COLD get answered by someone or myself usually within a day or two. so somebody going into a thread should expect there to be some sort of answer there without any special indication.

hope that helps.

What if someone has over 2000 posts?

not sure.. might do the gold hearts like on the old site.

On a few forums with the same engine if I remember right, I think it lets you change your user title to whatever you want...

some forums have a system where you can pay a small amount to change somebody ELSE's avatar and title to whatever the person paying wants.

now that could be funny.
