"John Lennon's New York: A Magical History Tour" to be released on DVD, August 28

London, England: ArtsMagic DVD will release John Lennon's New York: A Magical History Tour on August 28, 2007. Following a similar theme to their previous releases of The Beatles Liverpool, The Beatles Hamburg and The Beatles London travel DVDs, John Lennon's New York is an on-location walking tour of the locations significant in John Lennon's life on the streets of New York City.

John Lennon lived in New York for almost a quarter of his life, from 1971 to 1980. His life after the Beatles broke up was largely influenced by the Big Apple-- from the activists he met in Greenwich Village to the FBI monitoring of his every move. Rock and Roll Tour Guides Trina Yannicos and Susan Ryan travel all over Manhattan from Strawberry Fields in Central Park to the Statue of Liberty showing the famous apartments, recording studios, concert venues and other locations linked with John Lennon, as well as interviewing several personalities that knew John Lennon when he lived in New York.

Two versions are available:
--The Concise John Lennon's New York (90 minutes) contains the walking tour only.

--The 2-disc Collectors' Edition (with three hours of footage)
includes in-depth interviews with:
photographers Bob Gruen and Allan Tannenbaum, musician David Peel, playwright Mark St. Germain, and for the first time ever, John Lennon's Japanese instructor at Berlitz, Tamiko Steinberg.

I just saw something about this on one of the music channels the other day. I'm thinking the two disc version would be much more worth it. Thanks for the links Beth!
