I drive in heavy traffic every day. I see some crap!! I'm not sure. Sometimes seeing a cop on the side of the road can cause more harm than good. It slows the traffic down too much. For some people when they see a cop they hit the breaks and drive 10 MPH below the speed limit! That causes a chain reaction of chaos!

I have to agree with Marion. They always have them at road construction sites here and with people slamming on their brakes, it causes more problems.

I agree Marion. I think it causes more trouble rather than help the situation. Besides, the real speed demons, you know the ones that are going about 90MPH and constantly changing lanes...why is it that the cops never seem to see those idiots?!

If it would slow the idiots down that fly down our side street, I say yes..it is 25mph and so many fools go 50 and there are a ton of little kids around here...I am the whack screaming 'SLOW DOWN' on the corner...

i'm against it. they should use real dummies.....lol. hire more cops and if they ask where will the money come from, tell them to stop giving our money away to other countries and spend it here!

If it would help then yes ,where i live there are so many speed cameras that we don`t get much chance to speed (i have a detector that tells me when a camera is close by ,and its beeping all the time)

I'm on the fence about this. I have seen with my own eyes that it does work, but...I have also seen in rush hour when it causes problems.

Maybe not in heavy traffic areas, but I'd love one on my street. People haul ass and it is 35. They are building a new interchange for the interstate though so I am hopeful some of these fools will use that instead of my street.

If it would help get people to slow down but I think they would just slow till they passed it then speed up again.

Yes, but not in highly congested areas. That traffic is probably going to be slow anyway; no sense making it dangerous as well.
I love the people trying to use a dummy in the HOV lane - especially when the dummy's a little low on air, lol.
