Oh no. I have school that day. (cries)
Is there a way somebody can record it? The stupid school board blocked TomPetty.com, by the way

Thanks, Marion! Although the "reverse" print is REALLY hard on my poor OLD eyes I read every word, twice! I'll be printing it out as soon as my printer finishes its latest nervous breakdown...
Wonder how long it will be before we see part 2?

TP: Oh yeah. Willy DeVille. We used to play shows with his band back in the seventies. I always thought he really had something going on. I think he had some personal demons he was at war with, but he was really good. That first album especially is just great. Jack Nietzsche produced that record, and if you can find one it’s really worth hearing it. A terrific record. I love “Cadillac Walk.” And there’s another called “She’s So Tough” that’s a very strong record. He was one of those guys we thought was going to break out really big around 1977. I remember doing a bunch of shows with them, a couple when they didn’t show up. But when they did make it . . . they were really good shows.
Anna would have loved this.
Great interview, can't wait to read the rest!

Regarding Willy DeVille -- Mink DeVille was fabulous; I only had one cassette of theirs and adored it. Willy is popular these days in Europe; he toured this summer. I downloaded his Live In Berlin double CD and just love it. Highly recommended! Website is: http://www.willydevillemusic.com/
