As someone who's never been to California, I've only seen the Dirty Knobs perform in a couple of fuzzy youtube videos. But today I stumbled upon the Duesenberg*USA MySpace and saw that one of the things on their playlist was labled "The Dirty Knobs!" :003:
It's about a 6 minute song ("Working Class Hero" going into "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" with a nice guitar solo taking over the flute part at the end):

Enjoy!

that's great, i love when the knobs do beatle songs. i actually saw them do this version in cali in january. the raw power of the knobs reminds me of the 'very' early beatles. the energy and love of music surely shines through. see them if you get the chance, you won't be disappointed.

if I ever make it to California, that's at the top of my list! unless they they can be persuaded to come to New York...

I love hearing this again. It's beautiful and I love Mike's voice. :)
Relic, I don't blame you, that is not cool of them at all.

Beautiful photos Relic. I saw them on there a while back but didn't realize they were yours. I should have known. They are so pristine. The way Slash had his hair pulled back, I didn't even recognize him. I don't think I'd ever seen his face before.

Thank you Marion.
I am thrilled to have a chance to listen to The Dirty Knobs perform. Getting to take photos too is incredible.
I always enjoy it when people enjoy my photos, but I will not allow any commercial usage.
This is for several reasons:
Legally speaking I never received permission to use the artist's or venue's likeness commercially. This is because I never intended the images to be used to 'sell' anything - I took the images because I was moved by the music and the experience of seeing and hearing it performed live.
Additionally, I don't have any idea how the artists would feel about commercial use and wouldn't dream of presuming that they were OK with it without checking first.
A number of people tell me I should consider marking all of the photos with my name - I have resisted doing this because it detracts from the images, and it might look like I am trying to promote my photography using the artists images. Photography is a passion for me, and a hobby, and I don't feel the overwhelming urge to use it to sell anything.
I suddenly have this incredible urge for light beer......

watchtheparkingmeters,
I also hope you get a chance to see The Dirty Knobs perform. Especially in a bar-room scene, where people can gather, let their hair down and partake in some kick ass rock and roll. The clip sounds great but you have to experience this one in person some day!
Nothing pretentious about it, just good people enjoying great music and having a blast in the process. For the fun of it, and to revel in unfettered rock and roll.
May be habit forming.
