New TPHB fan to the site. Great poster? Who's the artist? I have a question. Does anybody know anything about the show Tom & the HB did in the late 70s/early 80s at the U of A Main Auditorium, a Larry Vallon Presents, ASUA concert, with special guest the Fabulous Poodles, on January 26th? Thanks. Glad to be in with TP fans.

Welcome to the Farm Freakdog! I don't know who the artist is. It looks like it may be signed at the bottom. Maybe Danny knows. I don't know about the show you are talking about either but it sounds interesting.

That would have been 1980, a Saturday night. If that date is definite I'll add it to the gigography.

By the way, the Mudcrutch/Road Turkey poster would be from 1973 based on the days/dates shown. In case anyone's interested in that kinda stuff.

Just stumbled across this forum after the Super Bowl. It was wild to see the band in such a huge forum.

I actually lived with Road Turkey members in 71 and 72 on Sw 4th near Main. Ron Blair lived next door and I lived upstairs with Carl Patti, the 4th Road Turkey. Our house was Gainesville garage band central in those years.

One of the guys with the poofy hair is Marty Jourard, who later was in the Motels (only the lonely, suddenly last summer) for a decade... his brother was an original heartbreaker: Jeff Jourard. Stan Lynch used to hang at our house too, along with any one of a dozen other rockers depending on the day. Blair hung out there most since he was so close... the Super Bowl is the first time I've seen him in 35 years!

I'm a graphic designer, and I did some posters for bands in those days, but not the one in question, although I remember it clearly... I have another original I did for a promoter somewhere, that has Mudcrutch on the bill, but cannot find it, and I've looked.

Anyway, cool to see it here.
