Im new and I was enable to figure out where to post this so I'll throw it on here. It's minutaie(sic)or may seem nitpicky but actually I'm just trying to be helpful. I believe I have found the date of a Petty/Heartbreakers gig in Omaha,NE that is missing from the gigography on the site here. I can only give a guess as to the exact date, but I'm from nebraska and found a Petty ticket stub in an old book I bought at a Thrift store. Of course, a portion of the ticket is missing but it clearly read:
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Civic Auditorium Music Hall, Omaha,NE
Sunday 8 P.m.
3, 1980
price of the ticket was $8.00
unfortunately, part of the day is missing, and the 'month' of the gig is missing. I believe it looks like the 'day' of the gig was the 13th of the particular month. I suppose if any detective on the Mudcrutch site could dig up a 1980 calendar they could find if there's a month that has a date of the 13th which fell on a Sunday in 80'. Additionally, its likely the gig was close to the date of gigs in denver,St.Louis, KC, and other midwestern cities.

oh yeah, the stub also mentions the promoters:
Contemporary Productions & Chris Fritz present a K Q 98 concert event'.
