May 30th Opening Night - Grand Rapids

Less than a week away (well, almost).

No chance to meet the band, just a chance to win tickets to a pre-show party inside the Arbor Mortgage Premier Club (https://www.arbormortgage.com/premier_events/premierevents_petty_vaa.aspx) at Van Andel Arena. 30 winners, four passes each. Starts at 6pm. Complimentary food and beverages. You also have to anticipate a salesperson trying to "help" you with money management....:085:

My real question is -- how do you recognize a fellow farmer in line? All answers -sly, silly & serious- welcomed.

It was easier at the general admission Mudcrutch shows; you could just assume the first dozen people in line were from the Farm or the officials.

In all seriousness, somebody had made up TPATH buttons for one of the recent tours (2005 or 2006). Of course, I forgot to wear mine!

Man, I sure wish I could go to this !! I played in Grand Rapids back in 76 with a band that I was in from Detroit. Some girl gave me a cat ( and lots of sweet memories ) and he came all the way back home to monroe with me. I had that cat for about 3 years, until it caught a cat disease and died. Hey maybe someone'll have a cat for tom !! LOL

The best thing to do is find out who is going, and make specific arrangements
with them: I'll be wearing such and such and sitting in this location, etc.
Nothing generic like: "meet you by the margarita stand"! I did that once and of
course there were like 20 margarita stands, LOL

I'm excited...that's an understatement. Loaded the 6-CD changer up with TPATH. Got the oil changed. Wondering what the setlist will be. Hoping the rain holds off while I drive to Grand Rapids. Hoping there aren't really bad thunderstorms (they're predicted). Hoping we don't have to walk too far in the rain to get to the venue. Hoping I don't have to stand in the rain for will call. I've got a million things on my mind - weeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm not taking my computer, so won't report back in until sometime tomorrow afternoon. I am officially looking for a bootleg of this show! LOL.
