Many years ago I went to a Tom Petty concert and he had people from Greenpeace set up booths at the show to promote conservation and environmental issues. Mostly because TP gave them a plug during the concert I signed up for a Greenpeace membership that night. The next year we bought our first house and I needed a lawnmower and since I was thinking "green", I bought a push reel mower (the kind without a motor). So now whenever I mow the lawn I think of Tom Petty, and in the spring when the grass is tall and a little damp, I curse him.
