Thank you for this, Ref....

This is sure exciting!! To think of the history there at that Troubadour...with those "Hoot" nights back in the 70's. Jackson, Linda (Ronstadt), JD Souther playing there.....and now Mudcrutch!!

Awesome. Which show will you all be going to? I think I'm gonna try and make the 26th and 29th. Interestingly enough, the Troubador's calendar looks like it has cancelled the original band scheduled for the 27th. Wonder if they'll try and fit a 5th night in at the venue....

Well I can only make the Mon/Tues shows...Friday/Saturday are out of the question for me. Things are still tentative on my end though...I'd prefer not to wait in line to get in all by my lonesome, lol. Then I might have more reason to become visibly intoxicated ;)

Thank goodness we still have some time to decide!

I'm not sure this is the right thread any more but I did call the Troubadour and they do not allow lines on the sidewalk (local law) and will not allow a line at all until 30 minutes before the show.

Now this may changes but as of today that is what the club said. Gosh in my 20's I could wiz my way around these places. Not any more.

I hope we don't have a Viper Room doorman he was something wasn't he. But we may. lol

I'm very happy I've got a reserved seat for the Arlington especially if its blugrass kinda county rockabilly band. Sets a different mood.

I love to watch them pickin though so I'm am disappointed not to be closer but I'll get over it.;)

This was originally posted by Athena.

I was at the Wiltern in LA last Thursday and there was a long line already formed on the sidewalk 1hr before the doors opened so if there is a law it is losely enforced. Besides, we can just get our excercise by walking up and down the street all day until they do allow a line-up :)

emmie
03-25-2008, 01:31 PM
I wish I knew exactly how they were going to handle this. If people are lining up hours and hours before the show I'm not interested, I'd like to do a couple of sightseeing things rather than line up all day long.

Carol
03-25-2008, 04:29 PM
I don't want anybody to get in trouble. They don't know how old we are or anything.

I just called to check their policy. She said there's a place over to the side but they don't want anybody over there until 30 minutes before.

I think the band would get a kick out of it. People will see everybody out there and all.

Heck we can invite the newspaper. ha ha ha ha

Not sure if this has been posted yet but it looks like the presale date has been offically announced. Found this over on Mudcrutchmusic.com:

"The Highway Companions Club is pleased to announce that presale tickets for the upcoming Mudcrutch shows at the Troubadour on the following dates: 4/25, 4/26, 4/28, 4/29; in West Hollywood, CA, will be made available to club members Thursday, April 3rd at 10AM PDT."

Good luck, everyone!

Tara
04-03-2008, 02:02 PM
Thanks so much guys. I'm just wondering if the general sale is will call only as well? Because if that was the case only people attending the shows might be able to help out...

I'm not sure because nothing is listed anywhere. Not that I should be surprised. Nobody mentioned that Mudcrutch presale tickets would not be open to non-US residents.

I'm so upset right now. It was my own stupid fault for booking my flight in advance, but I thought it would be okay. The irony is that I did pull PAIRS for both shows I wanted, but couldn't purchase them.

Patty Petty
04-03-2008, 02:06 PM
Oh Tara! I am so so sorry! Yes, get on the phone with Ticketmaster! Where in the hell did it say only US residents could buy tickets! That's a bunch of crap! Ugh! :085:

Well, here is MY dilemma.... I did get a ticket for both the Friday night and Saturday night show. BUT... the Friday night show, I never typed in the security code on the back of the credit card. I was in such a hurry to get it and get back out so I could try for Saturday night. I did get the confirmation emails, etc... but I was panicking because I didn't want them cancelling them or anything. Argh!

Anyway... long story short... I managed to calm down and breathe and then I phoned Ticketmaster... took awhile... have to go through all the automated stuff first and then was on hold awhile... but the woman I spoke to was very nice and understanding and assured me my orders were sent through and processed. She said the reason it went through without the security numbers was probably because I have used this card before for other events and the card is in good standing and so the card is like "on file." Whew! Man, I was sweatin' it though!

I am glad I kept trying.. like Linda urged me to do...lol. But honestly, I was doubtful I was going to get that second show. It took me about 20-25 mins. before it popped up for me. Persistence surely paid off for me this time. :)

I won't tell because I almost had to do the same thing when I noticed a couple of days ago Ticketmaster was refusing connection when I tried to get on at work. ^ She's right, Tara. I wouldn't cancel the flight or anything yet. You have a little time to work this out.

Let me tell you a little story... I don't know if you remember back in 2003, for The Vic shows and The Soundstage shows. The Vic shows were announced/added AFTER The Soundstage Show. They changed the date of Soundstage. We were devastsated. Lots of us had planned on going to that Soundstage show... emmie and myself, along with a few others (Chris (AmericanBoy and a friend of his), had booked flights, hotel.. etc... scheduled time off work, you get the picture. We were all put on the guest list, so that we'd all at least be insured that we'd get at least one Vic show in. We were still a tad distraught that we didn't get to see The Soundstage show.. but those 2 Vic shows were amazing. So...you never know!
Don't give up, Tara!

Unfortunately I had a function to attend and missed that...but I couldn't buy them anyway, because there isn't a Canadian Will Call delivery option. That was the problem to begin with...that was why I couldn't purchase tickets.

Thanks Patty for the inspiring story...I haven't lost all hope yet, but I have to say I'm pretty crushed. But I'm grateful to everyone here for your encouraging words. You guys are a pretty awesome bunch.

I've been in touch with websiteinfo but nothing's really come of it yet. Although it has been recognized that this was a problem/glitch on HCC's and/or Ticketmaster's end. I hope that means something will be done about it.

In the meantime, we'll see what happens with the general sale tomorrow.

I was at the Wiltern in LA last Thursday and there was a long line already formed on the sidewalk 1hr before the doors opened so if there is a law it is losely enforced. Besides, we can just get our excercise by walking up and down the street all day until they do allow a line-up :)

so I hope it's okay to ask if anyone knows how early to show up? Maybe after the shows this weekend, somebody could give me a clue.

I read this entire thread, and I sure hope Tara got her tickets!

^yep, I did get them in the general sale...thanks for asking :003:

As far as lining up before the show goes, I'm wondering the same thing.

^ guys, call the theater and ask them - Linda did that with Ventura and they said we could start lining up whenever we wanted. We showed up at noon and were the first ones, but others started showing up soon after. B prepared - those on the band's guest list will be let in first. And watch out for interlopers - those that get there at 6 pm and try to slide in at the front. Unbelieveable! I wish you all the best of luck. It was definitely worth it to end up at the rail but it's a brutal day.

here's the plan emmie. i'll have a flask down my pants and you'll have 2 one quart zip lock bags filled with booze on each breast. we'll just attend the show with straws and suck each other off.......lol.

ROTFLMFAO! Wow Nurk, are you SURE you aren't coming to Atlanta...you sound like a man with a plan!
