03-19-2008, 04:04 PM
From MudcrutchMusic.com:
• Debut Album Available April 29.
• Tour Begins April 12.
• Club Presales Begin March 21.
The long awaited debut album from Mudcrutch, recorded in just two weeks last August, will be released on Reprise Records on April 29. Mudcrutch features Tom Petty, Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Tom Leadon, and Randall Marsh.
In the early 70's, they were heroes in their hometown of Gainesville, Florida. Mudcrutch seemed poised for more. But the band never cracked the national music scene or made a full album. Now, more than 30 years later and quite unexpectedly, the Mudcrutch story continues.
In addition to the release of the album on April 29, the band will undertake a short tour of intimate California venues starting on April 12 in Santa Cruz and ending with a four-night run at the 500 capacity Troubadour in Los Angeles.
Mudcrutch Tour Dates
April 14 - Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium, Santa Cruz, CA
April 16- Fillmore, San Francisco, CA
April 17- Fillmore, San Francisco, CA
April 19- Arlington Theatre, Santa Barbara, CA
April 20- Ventura Theater, Ventura, CA
April 22- Concerts in The Park, Alpine, CA
April 25- Troubadour, West Hollywood, CA
April 26- Troubadour, West Hollywood, CA
April 28- Troubadour, West Hollywood, CA
April 29- Troubadour, West Hollywood, CA
Each person who orders tickets to the April Mudcrutch concerts will receive 6 downloadable tracks from the upcoming album before the album release date.
There will be Mudcrutch concert tickets available to Highway Companion Club members during a special presale prior to the public ticket onsale. Due to the intimate nature of these venues please keep in mind that presale tickets will be limited and with the exception of Santa Barbara there will be no reserved seats. The Arlington is a BEAUTIFUL theatre. I've seen a few concerts there in my day. :003:
Ventura holds VERY special memories as well. cough...cough...The Knobs. That's where a few of us original Knobbettes were dubbed the Ventura Five, lol.

The SB Independent:
Between The Epics and The Heartbreakers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Petty_and_the_Heartbreakers), Tom Petty had Mudcrutch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mudcrutch). And for the first time in over 30 years, the original fivesome will return to the stage for a very special tour, which includes a stop at the Arlington Theatre on Saturday, April 19.
The band, consisting of original members Petty, Mike Campbell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Campbell), Benmont Tench (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benmont_Tench), Tom Leadon, and Randall Marsh, first formed in Florida during the early 70s. But after moving to Los Angeles, snagging a record deal, and releasing 1975’s “Depot Street,” the group parted ways, leaving Petty, Tench, and Campbell to continue their musical takeover sans Leadon and Marsh.
Reuniting for the first time last year, Mudcrutch is now set to release a new, self-titled album on Tuesday, April 29, which is rumored to include both new and old material. Tickets for the April 19 show go on sale this Saturday, March 22 at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets (F.Y.E. (http://www.fye.com/index.htm), Macy’s (http://www.macys.com/), ticketmaster.com (http://www.ticketmaster.com/section)) as well as the Arlington Theatre Box Office (http://www.independent.com/places/arlington-theatre/) (1317 State St.). There is a four ticket limit per customer.

I just went to the website of the Troubadour, and they have the ticket sale date posted as April 4th. I'm guessing HCC pre-sale dates will be a day or 2 before. There will also be a 2 ticket limit per buyer at this venue. Buying tickets through the troubadour, the price will be $59.50. Hope this helps you Hollywood Concert goers, and I hope I get to see you there! I'm gonna try to get back down to Cali for this.

Dear Highway Companions Member,
Unfortunately at 10:00am this morning there was a technical problem relating to the Mudcrutch ticket presale. The codes that were initially issued were not functional. The presale began to function properly at 10:20am but nonetheless we'd like to make sure everyone gets a shot at tickets today.
For this reason, we have increased the number of tickets available during this presale.
If you would like to purchase Mudcrutch tickets please proceed to the Highway Companions ticket page.

I just have to say thanks for the updates and info on this board. I usually spend most of my time at the TP board and just visit here occasionally but when the password issue came up I couldn't log into the TP message board and came over here paniced but as usual the best fans in the world had the info I needed and kept me from totally freaking out. Any way long story short I will be taking my first trip to the Fillmore!!!!!! Thanks again, love this website!

Just outta curiosity guys and gals...is anyone here planning to go to the Troubadour show on Monday April 28th? I'd like to go but it's kinda up in the air, lol.

Hey, Tara, I sure would love to come to these Troubadour shows. I am not sure yet...it is still up in the air here as well....
Oh, that would be awesome, Beth! I'd love to go to the Troubadour shows too, but unfortunately I'm only available for the Monday and Tuesday shows...whereas the majority of folk are going to the Friday/Saturday shows.

I have a friend Tracy who wants to go to the Fillmore show 4/17. She doesn't have a computer so I'm putting this up for her. She has an extra ticket for 4/16 and hopes to have an extra for the Santa Cruz show also to trade. Her phone number is 707-548-1944. If there's no answer, please leave a message.
I hope this works out for someone!

All I could get from 10:20 HCC presale onto the general sale was this Row Z crap. Plus the two word security words are all blurred so today I tried and typed in whatever and a ticket still popped up.
You guessed it Row Z same seat.
I finally got the Row Z to go away and got one seat for my friend if they even come after all the nonsense. Something's sick down at Ticketmaster?

that's amazing, $7,285 for a ticket!!! if each one of us 651 farmers bought a ticket for that price, it would total $4,742,535!!!!!!!!! i think for that kind of money, i could fly everyone here to my place for a bbq and have the band play here for just us!!!!!! i'm sure the venue isn't paying tom and the band anywhere near $4 mil.

Seven grand for right row S. I feel like I got a steal for my $50 row C seat. I really hope people aren't dumb enough to even consider shelling out that kind of dough. If they are - atleast get a ticket to the charity benefit and get some free champange out of the deal.

I was on vacation when the tickets went on sale and had limited time to try for tickets on a computer that was not my own. You know how that goes! I must say I was impressed with the way HCC monitored the ticket sale and acknowledged and fixed the password problem right away. Thanks also to my friends on IM as well for updating me on what was going on. I was about to give up and move on!
I took the first tickets that came up for Santa Barbara. I wasn't going to mess around trying to get better tickets for fear they would sell out. I don't care where I sit as long as I'm in that room! These shows are going to be priceless!
For Santa Barbara, Gina and I are in Orch C, row K seats 3 & 5. Plus, I'm going to the Ventura show too! Can't wait!
