Dear Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Fans,
It is the eve of the Presales for the 2008 Tour and we wanted to send out some tips for fans who are participating in the presales.
PRESALE TIMES:
All presales that start tomorrow (Jan 30th) begin at 10am local venue time. So if you want to purchase tickets for the New York show, your presale begins at 10am Eastern Standard Time. If you want to purchase tickets for the Los Angeles show, your presale begins at 10am Pacific Standard Time and so on.
Please check the Highway Companions Ticket page for all presale times
INSTRUCTIONS TO PURCHASE PRESALE TICKETS:
Here is the info in regards to purchasing tickets during the presales
1. A few minutes before the presales start, go to http://www.highwaycompanions.com/index.php?module=tour
2. Click LOGIN and log in with your user name and password -you must be a PAID member - to check your membership status visit the TICKETS section. If you are a FREE or TRIAL member you need to hit UPGRADE.
3. Once logged in, go to the TICKETS page and you will see a list of shows. If you are logged into the site and are a PAID member, you will see a BUY NOW link for each show with a presale
4. Depending on the show, when you click BUY NOW once the show is available, you will be directed to either Ticketmaster.com or the Club Ticket Store powered by Etix. Please note the buying process is different for each service.
5. If the show you want to purchase tickets for is being sold via Ticketmster.com, we suggest you pre-register on their site with all of your information to speed up your purchase process.
6. If you have any trouble getting the BUY NOW link to appear on the new TOUR page try logging out of the site, closing your browser, then coming back to the site. Then go to the TOUR page and while still not logged in, click the LOGIN link on the TOUR page. This will take you back tot the TOUR page and you should see the BUY NOW link. If you continue to have trouble try a different web browser like Internet Explorer 7 or FireFox 2.
TICKETMASTER: For Ticketmaster.com Club Ticket Sales here is the purchase process:
1. On the Club TICKETS page will be your personal Ticketmaster password. Note: Your password is unique and valid for only one purchase per show so be sure to keep it private. It is associated with your fan club membership in the Ticketmaster system. Ticketmaster passwords will be posted on the Club TOUR page before the presale begins.
2. Clicking the BUY NOW link will take you into the Ticketmaster.com store.
3. Choose the show you wish to purchase
4. When prompted, enter your personal/exclusive Highway Companion ticket password.
5. Select the ticket type and quantity you want.
6. Review your seat locations.
7. You have two minutes to begin your checkout process.
8. Proceed through the Ticketmaster.com purchase/check out process as directed.
ETIX: For Club Ticket Store via Etix shows here is the purchase process (for these presales, this ONLY applies to the Philadelphia, PA show at the Wachovia Center):
1. Clicking the BUY NOW link will take you into the Etix Highway Companion Ticket Store
2. Find the show you want tickets to and click BUY.
3.You will be taken to the show purchase page, it will have info about the show you are interested in, read it carefully. When tickets go on sale a BUY TICKETS button will appear on this page.
4.The BUY TICKETS link will appear exactly at the time we announced the sale to start on this page. Keep hitting refresh in your browser until you see the link.
5. Use the selector box to choose how many tickets you want to purchase for the show.
6. If your show offers Exact Seat Locations (and not all do), the location of the tickets you have requested will appear on screen after you enter in how many you want You have 15 minutes to complete your purchase
7. If one type of ticket is unavailable, the system will give you a message saying no tickets are currently available, this means that all tickets of that type are in users' shopping carts but have not been completely processed. You can continue to try to buy tickets in case someone does not complete their purchase. Once a particular type of ticket is no longer available, the store will change its message to SOLD OUT. If this is the case, you can try to purchase another type of ticket.
DREAM TICKET PACKAGE PRICES:
Prices for the Dream Ticket Packages varies for all shows. For the majority of shows (see exceptions below), the price of a Dream Ticket Package will be $250-$260 (US or Canadian Dollars depending on the location of the show) plus applicable Ticketmaster fees. For a few dates, the Dream Ticket Package is higher because the Level 1 ticket price is slightly higher than most dates. Here are all of the exceptions that we are aware of:
06.03.08 - Toronto, ON Air Canada Centre - $275.50 Canadian Dollars
06.09.08 - Bristow, VA - Nissan Pavilion - $285.00 US Dollars
06.17.08 - New York, NY Madison Square Garden - $289.50 - US Dollars
06.25.08 - Los Angeles, CA Hollywood Bowl - TBD
08.22.08 - Irvine, CA Verizon Wireless Amphitheater - $275.00 US Dollars

TICKET PICK UP POLICY:
All presale and package tickets will be held at the Venue Box Office for pick up by the purchaser the night of the show. Picture I.D. is required. No Exchanges, Name Changes or Refunds allowed. We have created this policy in an effort to keep scalpers from getting fan club members tickets.

You will then be prompted to renew your membership. When you click the renew link, the renewal membership will be added to your cart. When you check out, you will receive an email confirmation with your fan club log in details as well as your $10 coupon to the Tom Petty Shop via email.
