hmmm...still haven't released the price of the dream package, right?....maybe they know we are all going to flip? :119:

nurktwin
01-25-2008, 07:11 PM
looks like the reg tix went up $20 this year from $75 to $95. i guess we can expect about $300 for a package ticket.

AmyLou
01-25-2008, 07:16 PM
^ see, that's breaking my mental limit - for $300 I want to know exactly where I'll be sitting, or at least know for sure first few rows...

Nylle
01-25-2008, 08:03 PM
I agree, Amy. For $300, I'd think you can buy a front row seat on ebay or from a broker - and know exactly where you'll be. I don't think it will go up that much though - weren't they $200 last year?

$41 for lawn? If a regular seat is $156, what will the package prices be?

nurktwin
01-26-2008, 10:17 AM
good question, that's why i just threw out a price like $300. last time most packages were $200, but i think a few venues were higher. i think i had to pay $250 for the hollywood bowl.

Top price is $156?! Holy crap!

nurktwin
01-26-2008, 12:40 PM
maybe since hcc is only giving you $10 off at the tpath store instead of $100 like last time, they might keep the dream package at $200. but i doubt it. they now have ticketbastard involved, and that only means trouble.

AmyLou
01-26-2008, 12:45 PM
^ true, but they now have the book, $25 off at the store and the "Exclusive High Quality Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers T- Shirt" to mess around with, so alot of play in those dream prices I think...

nurktwin
01-26-2008, 12:50 PM
it's bad enough not knowing where your seat is until the opening act is about to take the stage and now we don't even know the price of a dream package!!!!

nurktwin
01-26-2008, 01:06 PM
1 good thing is that tix go on sale at 10am local times. so if you are going to different time zones, you have time to get tix for different cities. if all your shows are in the same time zone, you are shit out of luck! i guess we'll always have something to bitch about.....lol.

01-26-2008, 05:04 PM
I keep thinking one day they'll get it right:085: Why did they have to offer the dream package via ticketmaster? I think it worked fine last through HCC.

nurktwin
01-26-2008, 05:11 PM
well for 1 reason, check out who owns hcc, ticketmaster and live nation for a few. they actually changed the name to live nation because of all the trouble they were having.

Starfish
01-26-2008, 05:24 PM
Interesting - the Nissan show has been removed from Ticketmaster's site now. Maybe they're going to lower the price, lol.

AmyLou

Katie

Pettyjunkie, keep in mind that although their terms and conditions do not say it - HCC is NOT responsible or liable for any heartattacks, comas, shock, or mental/bodily harm that you or those around you may experience during pre-sale time. ;)

Actually, Ticketmaster and Live Nation are two separate companies. Live Nation owns the venues and partnered with Ticketmaster. The reason this is important, and I'm not just being picky in correcting you, is that I read about a week ago that Live Nation has decided to discontinue the partnership so in the future those venues will no longer use Ticketmaster for ticket sales. I'm hoping that will be a good thing.

I am happy to see Ticketmaster finally lose a little control.

I just wish they'd hurry up and update their site - so far only 3 shows show up!

Why didn't somebody realize that if a person is in the fan club there is a darn good chance they would have already bought the book? This doesn't sound so dreamy after all. And reading the fine print I see that people buying seats in the public sale have just as good a chance of seats in the first 15 rows as fan club members do.

Marion

Hummm, TM says Pittsburgh and Cincinnati presales are on 2/4 and Omaha is on 2/1. HCC still says 1/30.

I wish they would do a better job updating that ticket page at HCC.

And when are they gonna tell us how much the Dream package is for crying out loud! Come one HCC!! What is the problem? Are you scared to tell us?

emmie

There are still shows missing from Ticketmaster. Hopefully by the end of the day they'll all be listed..hell the pre-sale is tomorrow.

Yep, looks like Disco Stu was right - based on Raleigh they're going to run approximately $260 at most venues, close to or over $300 for the more expensive shows.

Marion
01-29-2008, 12:45 PM
And you know Ticketmaster will add their $50+ to that.

Marion
01-29-2008, 12:52 PM
On the other hand, we have paid that for broker tix before and I have always said I'd much rather the band get the money so if I look at it that way maybe I'll be ok with it.

Christ! 21 shows up now but where the hell is Toronto?

Marion
01-29-2008, 12:58 PM
I wonder why the price on the Bristow show is so much higher than every place else. It's lowered to $131 from $156 but still, I wonder why?

AmyLou
01-29-2008, 02:02 PM
at least (one tiny thing) is it's 160 over final ticket price, leads me to believe the TM charges will be on ticket cost, not the whole package. don;t nee TM charging a fee on a $260 purchase.

I don't know what to think... holding steady on the Tampa package ticket, but what to do about GR?

of course, what we're all thinking, wish there was time to try for a great presale ticket before springing the extra $160. The thought that presale people may get better seats than those with the package makes me nauseous!

01-29-2008, 03:37 PM
My KC presale is supposedly tomorrow. The venue has nothing on their calendar and said they won't list anything until it has been "confirmed" so that makes me wonder if the show is even really booked! There is nothing on TM either. Good lord!

On a funny side note...I had a dream last night that I wasn't paying attention when I bought tickets and ended up in row 137!!!! HAHAHA

emmie
01-29-2008, 03:47 PM
^ There is nothing on the Toronto Air Canada Ctr venue. They are saying no shows in Southern Ontario. Weird! Very weird.

KansasPettyFan
01-29-2008, 03:52 PM
I think they jumped the gun on some of these. I am pretty sure they'll go on as scheduled, but could they wait until they know for SURE and then announce them? Grrrrrr!!!! I've gotten myself all wound up for nothing tomorrow. lol

emmie, in the email i got air canada package costs $275.50 canadian dollars and then add on tm fees. check the 1st post under 'the waiting' for other packages. it also seems to me that all shows will go through tm except philly, that will be etix.

Bummer.
But they are still worth it.
